The Albion — Restaurant in Elmbridge

Very bad ! Service 0 very rude people not been looked after at all ! We arrived at restaurant /Pub at 2:30 table reserved ! Been put next to the door with a broken leg table not parasols! With asked to been moved . Second we waiting to long to begin asked if we decided what we want to eat ! Some of the food was not longer available … so I choosers to have Roast dinner , and my friend fish ! We have waiting more then half hours so I went to asked been told they are busy ! But in means time no salviette and cutlery been giving to has . Finally food come still not having cutlery we have to ask ! Food looked two days hold cold and dry , the cabbage 🥬 was Eden not been boiled no butter ! left most of it in the plate ! Told them but they said in the kitchen is not Cheaf . apparently quite the night before ! Fish was test-less the fish sauce was been left on the side scomposto dry and cold been microwave to long as no Cheaf no softy procedure been followed temperature contamination ecc. i Oder a side salad avocado and lettuce 🥬 avocado was brown ready to bin it .. I removed it and I asked some dressing they taking away the salad and add some olive oil . We hopped the pudding may be good samples brownies with ice cream ! May be for the person in the kitchen was not that semole took more then half hours to come we have to asking again for it ! See it was start to rain 🌧️ and we had a table with not parasol ☂️ this people only what said … is in is way ! Not asking us to move in or moving us under a ombrello ☔️ nothing ! we had some costumes next to has they asked if we want to seated under there ombrella ! The pudding was no bad ! Visited The Albion for the first time at the weekend after driving past it several times over recent months. We are so pleased we did, it’s safe to say this is now in our Top 5 places to eat. It’s not often you find a busy pub that still is able to make you feel that you are their priority, and that there main aim is for you to relax, enjoy and feel as if you have had a treat. The selection on the menu is great, one of the team (a youngish girl,Tash or Tas?) gave us some recommendations and even made my partner feel at ease about his allergies. Had a lovely lunch here for Father’s Day, it wasn’t too busy and the atmosphere was nice & peaceful. All the staff were very friendly and attentive, we had a big dog with us and they were very accommodating to her. I asked for a table with room for her to lie down and where she couldn’t reach up onto other tables and they gave us a great spot, even checking we were happy with it and bringing our dog water without us asking. The food was delicious and prices were very reasonable. They have a great selection of drinks and the pub itself feels very cosy and relaxed.
