06 ANKARA TURKISH RESTAURANT — Restaurant in England

Just a split decision to eat out tonight and decided to try Ankara in cleethorpes market place. On entering the place was empty but we got a nice feel about it. It was warm, the waitress showed us to put table and the seats were very comfy. Service for drinks was quick and our order taken. My wife went for the lamb shish kebab and i ordered lamb chops and chicken wings with chips . Shortly the waitress bought over a warm bread basket with three dips and cheesy mushrooms which were devious. Our main meal took about twenty minutes to arrive and when it came,we we're delighted by the presentation and aroma. The meal was excellent and by the time we had finished the place was filling up. I had the pleasure of dining at this Turkish restaurant yesterday, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with incredibly warm and friendly service — the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

The décor was absolutely stunning — elegant, cozy, and full of character. It perfectly captured the spirit of Turkish hospitality and created a lovely atmosphere for our evening.

Absolutely outstanding! Wonderful food, great service and exceptional value for money. We both love Turkish food and like to try restaurants when we travel around. This was genuinely outstanding. The service was great, friendly and for us not rushed. We had complimentary bread,warm, with honeyed yoghurt and a spiced salsa which was very flavoursome. We then had sucuk and hummus as a starter followed by an iskender of chicken and lamb, fantastic. The portions were so generous that unfortunately we could not fit a dessert in! The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely and the staff great, there are plenty of options in the area if you want a drink before.
