Pre-cinema supper. It has an eclectic bistro-style, wine bar, sort of vibe. I've been for lunch before. Tonight it was noisy, bordering on raucous, thanks to a large table of drinkers. Foodwise - I'm (cow) milk-intolerant, so the options on the menu are limited, as most things have cheese on them. I went for a mixed platter (no cheese) of salamis, salad and bread. Instead of butter I was given virgin oil and balsamic - a way better option anyway! It was delicious, and a very generous portion with lots of interesting additions, like different olives, a delicious wee red pepper, gherkins, and really good bread (possibly sourdough?). My friends enjoyed their meals too - the Raclette and a mixed platter of cheeses and meats. There's a good selection of wines too. Don't let Grumpy spoil your visit, he does eventually soften and smile 😉 It gets booked up quickly, you have to make reservations. It's well...

We visited at 4pm on a Wednesday with our spaniel who is a placid and friendly dog. Sadly the same couldn't be said of a male patron. We ordered 2 coffees and sat at the only free table. Our dog lay down on the floor next to us. The man at the next table made an aggressive and unpleasant comment to my husband about our dog and not wanting "it" near him. My husband apologised (not sure what for really) and the man continued his complaining - our dog had not touched him. I asked the waitress to make our coffees to go and explained why but they don't do takeaway so we left without coffee and really rather hurt by such an unpleasant encounter. I appreciate the establishment can't control its patrons but it is supposed to be dog friendly so maybe it should make an effort to inform them that dogs may be present. There was already 1 dog in there when we arrived. Very...

Mixed experience really. Called in on Sunday 9th July. We had 3 small, well behaved dogs with us. We were made to feel very welcome. Beer, wine and food were lovely and for that we would give 5 stars. Returned at 5.30pm on Thursday 13thJuly with 3 tired but well behaved dogs. Were told we couldn't go in as too many dogs in already. Made to feel - we weren't the 'type' he want in his establishment. So, we walked up the road along the outside of the rooms and counted 3 tables with people at them and NO other dogs whatsoever. He just didn't want us in there. So, we went to another establishment, where we were made to feel very welcome. We drank wine, and champagne and ate nibbles, and had a lovely hour or so there. So Atelier - we've given you one star because you need to get your act together when it comes to your policies. And, for making it obvious we weren't...

Little gem in Berwick-upon-Tweed. Located very in the town centre however along one of quieter streets. 3 minutes walk from Premier Inn. Neighbouring with The Walls and River Tweed. Seemingly random yet thought through decor. Bit of shabby chique and brik a brac mixed today however it all creates a unique space which instantly make you feel cosy and safe. Eclectic crowd. Busy. Excellent choice of draught beers, wines, artesian beverages plus absolutely delicious food freshly prepared on the premises. Had two small plates, charcuterie board, pint of lager and wine which all was nicely served, fresh and delicious. Small deli too. Nice cakes available. Staff members very attentive and helpful. Wish more places like this were across the UK. Good value for money too!

An unexpected find, popped into Berwick upon Tweed to walk around the fortified town ramparts got to the river bridge and needed the loo so turned into town and liked the look of Atelier, only intention was to have a drink, great selection, saw people eating, food looked fabulous,so looked at menu. Fantastic choice and a lot of things out of the ordinary, opted for the sharing(2 people) seasonal platter absolutely fabulous and even better everything cost only £17.50 . Staff were also very friendly and attentive, will definitely visit again when in area and will recommend to others.

Really quirky little place with lots of locally sourced food and a great selection of beverages! The locally produced Jarvis Pickle Pies are to die for! My personal favourite is the pork and blue cheese but there are loads to choose from! I also highly recommend getting one of the charcuterie boards! Absolutely packed with different meats and cheeses and plenty to share with your family and friends! There’s also a selection of sandwiches you are able to choose from too, as well as soup and others! Highly recommend this place for a good atmosphere and great food!
