Avon Brewery — Restaurant in England

Recently visited the avon brewery for a work function and it was a terrible experience. A buffet was organised at £15 a head (there was 30 or so people there) and all that was on the the buffet was some really naff sandwiches, a single quiche, undercooked sausage rolls, pigs in blankets and the tiniest chicken wings i have ever seen. This was ment to be a works function that we had payed for but members of the public just seem to walk in and out when they pleased and take food from the buffet. There was not enough for for us as it was. I personally bought three rounds of the same drinks at the bar, each of which was a different price from the last. It seemed to be that they were just making up the prices as they were going along. If I didn't argue that point to them i would have been ripped of even further. I will not be...

I had my dads 50th birthday party at the back of the pub for friends and family on Saturday night. I’ve never hosted or thrown a surprise party before. And The owners, workers and managers were all incredible. From booking the party all the way to the night.. they were consistent, helpful and lovely to get to know. They cleaned up for us, bunting etc included and left me bits to collect if I wanted the next day. Such friendly people! I’d recommend a private party here 100%! We went at 10.30pm on a Saturday night in half term for a pint on our walk home and the pub was very quiet and feels off the main straights despite being just a stones throw from the centre. If you wanted a quiet drink with friends this would be an OK venue but the beer choices were fairly limited and the main clientele were the Saturday night regulars, mainly bearded men with slightly vacant stares (but it was getting late!).
