We were a party of 6 with 4 children, we ordered 4 meals with 2 side orders for 2 of the children as they did have some food with them which we admit is not the done thing but thought this would be ok as we had ordered quite a lot of food. They took our order and we waited around 10 mins, the lady noticed 2 of the children were eating food and said to our 8 year old “we don’t allow eating from other places, can you not eat it here” this lady came across very rude in her manor and made us feel terrible and very small. She said if you had said you had food she would have said it was ok? By this time the food was nearly ready but we refused to have it and asked for a refund as we were upset by her attitude and walked out. she gave us a full refund and could not care a less if we give her bad review just was not bothered. Reading on other reviews seems this lady likes upsetting people, even locals. We have visited previous times no problems but lady always looks miserable and not friendly. Read morePopped in here for the first time at the weekend. We were really impressed. Proper old fashioned little cafe/greasy spoon - in a good way :-) Food was very good and portions decent. None of your usual silly prices - Sausage (x2), egg and chips for a fiver. Can't beat that. Friendly staff as well. Proper family place. Dog friendly which is a must for us! Only issue was lack of toilets, a tad strange but can't knock marks off for that. Will be back when next...

The food was very reasonably priced but l was surprised that it was cash only & worse. No toilets. We were told the nearest were by the library!!!!
