Bird and Beer — Restaurant in England

Haven't had the pleasure of eating here due to inflexibility of the booking process. I'm visiting Shropshire tomorrow and my nephew is celebrating his birthday here, so we were asked if we wanted to join them. I called the venue to change the booking from 8 to 10 so my wife and I could join the family for a few chicken wings. Wow, you'd think I wanted to reinvent the wheel! Bear in mind this is not my booking, in order to change it from 8 to 10, I need to pay £10pp deposit, that's £100 when the average cost pp is between £10-£20! We also all need to pre order! They only really sell burgers and chicken! Imagine being asked to pre order at Nandos? Apparently this is due to how busy they are. Hopefully they remain busy, they have very little chance of attracting new customers with this kind...

Great service and great food! The vibe in the restaurant is really nice and chilled but have a lot of fun energy to it as well. It was lively enough inside not to hear the cars out on the road but not to loud that we couldn't hear each other. The food is amazing. We kind of built our own platter so try all the sauces for the wings! Shout out to the Thai and the Buffalo for being the best! The fries were good too but nothing compared to the chicken. Both the strips and the wings were well season and well cooked but to me the wings stood out as perfect. Crunchy, juicy and just wow. 10/10...

We wandered down on a Friday night ‘on spec’ and … they were fully booked all evening .. but the very helpful lady told us we could go to Tap & Can, enjoy great beer (see review 👍👍) and get food delivered to us there. We did ! And it was fantastic. We had chicken strips with their amazing bbq sauce (me) and SY Thai (him) - both were delicious 😋 served with yummy skin on fries. Excellent value at £10 too. Couldn’t resist sides of frickles with spicy mayo and slaw, also both excellent. Devoured with fab beer at Tap and Can. Perfect night out. (Sorry too hungry...
