The place is a converted pub, when you first walk in it will be confusing. But as i walked in, i was greeted by a guy . I asked for a table for one. And was swiftly shown up the stairs to where the seating is.
Unfortunately the buffet is not operating yet .
So i ordered al le carte,
Starters: Chicken pokora Lamb momo
Mainv Gurkha Garlic with lamb And plain rice
There was abit of a wait for food but i believe its all freshly made to order. And i think its worth the wait.
Chicken pokora, this is a chicken fritter / battered chicken chunk that comes with a creamy yellow sauce, guessing it seems to be a citrusy yoghurt and corriander sauce.
The chicken very juicy and fresh, with a very light batter, adding a crunch but it doesnt make ot heavy or overwhelm it at all.
10/10 .
Lamb momo, a dumping with a lamb mince eith herbs in it and a spicy flsvorful sauce I am not sure what the sauce is and the herbs. But it also is amazing. It is definately freshly made and hand wrapped. 10/10 again these are soo good and fresh
Gurkha Garlic with lamb. This is a oily curry dish. With onions and peppers Big chunks of lamb nicely fully cooked, well cooked but firm onions, and fresh peppers. This was abit spicy. But very flavourful 9/10 ,
Everything was soo flavorfull.
And amazing

Read moreFirst time trying this little place since it changed hands - again. Had high hopes and we were looking forward to it. Ordered over the phone, got 20% on collection so that was nice. Also most say that customer service was great, very friendly smiley staff. Unfortunately however, the food took a long time to be ready (40 minutes at home, mid-week!! Then a further 10 minute wait at the shop). When I eventually got the food home, we tucked in - but really disappointingly the food was hideous. Butter chicken and lamb pasanda sauces were almost identical, texture was grainy and tasted soapy and very sweet! The naan bread was dry/ hard (had obviously been zapped in microwave). Such a shame, I really wanted to like it there and be able...
Read moreCelebrated my 75th there last night. It is so quirky. Decor still has some way to go but it was clean and tidy. They were clearly short-staffed last night but the waiter worked hard and managed several trips up the stairs to the dining area despite being possibly older than me. If you are looking for super sophisticated you will be disappointed but if you are looking for top quality Nepalese cuisine, look no further. The chef is clearly very talented and has won several awards. We ordered drinks including wine and beer and discovering it was my birthday the waiter brought me a top up for free. The restaurant lacked atmosphere but as we were the only customers, it isn't surprising. Really...
