I have never been inside a more creative restaurant. This clean, eco-friendly and home feeling restaurant is perfect for the entire family. It has a large range of exotic dishes, and whatever the choice, you are guaranteed to be filled up. The waitresses and waiters are so kind and helpful, full of recommendations and willing to help out in any way. If you would like any changes to that depicted in the menu then the waiters/waitresses are more than happy to accommodate; the chef is very flexible catering to your needs. The tables are brilliantly designed and picked out for the occasion. The walls are modern in design and full of information. Furthermore one wall is covered with a blackboard, written on it is the specials and a list of delicious desserts and more. You can even watch the chefs cook for there is an open plan kitchen. The menu, full of delicious dishes and fizzling drinks is impressive. There is even a range of vegetarian options out there for all you veggies! Actually, the veggie burgers are the best on the planet, using not typical cheese but brie, grilled Halloumi, blue cheese, smoked Cornish cheese and more. The best thing of all there is 100% beef, no rubbish! Astoundingly all the beef is locally sourced, and so is most of the cheese! There is a long list of wines as well. The sauces play wonders on your palate and the chips are a crunchy accompaniment. However they are not enough chips, unfortunately, even though the burger is very filling, I don’t think I need any more chips, maybe it’s just me being greedy. Finally the napkins are recycled and proposes an eco-friendly vibe. Other’s quoted; Ismail Dale aged 47 Err I thought it was delicious very complementary flavours and we tried something different and the whole family enjoyed it. Anonymous aged 11 The customer service was amazing, the cooks were very flexible and the food was very different but...

Firstly, Blas doesn’t take reservations - which means you might be facing a queue, and with good reason too. Their food is superb. My 6yr old and I nipped in at 6:30PM on a recent trip to St Ives and couldn’t have been more impressed. The decor is trendy, the service is excellent and the food is excellent. The waitress found us some space tucked in the corner at a little bar area but we were seated in minutes. The menu is interesting and there are lots of ‘quirky’ GBK style things. Great if you like that sort of stuff but I’m a cheeseburger guy and that’s what I had. Rupert (the tiny taster) had a children’s burger, which was still £6 but he ate the lot - and he’s a burger aficionado.

In short - this is a great place but expect to pay London prices for a premium burger. The real differentiator is their desire to do everything in the ‘right’ way. All of the decor is reclaimed, the meat is locally and organically sourced, even the cola is non-branded and made with agave nectar (instead of high-fructose corn syrup). My only complaint (more of an observation really) is that the music is quite loud - great for atmosphere but it was all a bit much for a very tired 6yr old.

If you enjoy a good burger and you’re happy to pay for it then you must try out this...

Coming from London where there's unlimited choice when it comes to great burgers, this place is below average and far too expensive at £15 for a cheeseburger (takeaway, not even eating in). Clearly trying to fleece tourists.

The basics: tomato was cut so thick and had the core in the middle. It was freezing cold, as was the lettuce. This is just sloppy and lazy. Ditto the massive chunk of onion on top. Oh if you want caramelised onions it's an extra £2, which is outrageous. Aioli didn't taste of garlic at all. Blue cheese or cheddar the only choice of cheese. Just offer standard sliced burger cheese, nothing else comes close. Bun was acceptable.

The Patty: well seasoned, but too thick so the middle was cold as a result. Outside didn't have the desired char and caramelistion you'd want. They'd be better off making 2 smaller patties to get more char and juiciness.

Chips were really nice and well seasoned.

These guys don't really have a clue when it comes to burgers and should go back to the...

Fantastics burgers, what more can I say. We had a takeaway as we have dogs and it did not disappoint! You don't often get food that looks like the photos on the website but even after being wrapped up and transported they looked amazing. All tasted very good, healthy and hearty and good chips too. Really good sized and great vegetarian and even vegan options that were tasty too. It was a pleasant surprise that the rolls didn't fall apart as we were trying to eat our burgers, we actually got to finish them without resorting to cutlery! Will have to make time on our next visit to dine in, we definitely want to try the pudding menu.

Really solid. Burgers were great, loads of vegetarian options too. Would fully recommend booking in advance if you want to eat in as it's a tiny little place but agree with a lot of the other reviews, food was excellent, staff were friendly. Quite expensive for a burger I'd say but no complaints about the food. Be aware it's not toddler friendly in the sense that there no room for prams or high chairs, but they're happy to have you all the same and do have kids options, although they're honestly not much smaller than the adult portions really.

Simply the best burger restaurant I have found. Locally sourced, ethical fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. The mains are hearty but always manages to surprise with new taste combinations. The seating area is small and rustic using recycled furniture with an amazing casual atmosphere. It's gourmet burgers but not posh or pretentious. The puddings are simple but stunning as well. This place is popular in holiday times so best book ahead. Its worth it.
