What a fantastic little find this was, ticks all the boxes and more! We visited Friday teatime while we were down for our holidays and we were quickly seated at an upstairs window table with absolutely beautiful views of the harbour. Every staff member that we encountered was friendly, happy, polite and made a fuss of our dogs. The food was amazing, the mackerel (Mack Daddy) was cooked perfectly and there was a generous portion. All the accompanying food bits on the burger complimented it perfectly. The fries were crispy, the mac and cheese was like none we'd ever had (in a good way!) and the dips added flavour too. We had such an excellent time here that we decided to visit before we drove home the next day. Some of the same staff were in from the previous day and remembered our dogs so again, more fuss made which they loved! The food was just as amazing as the previous day, all incredibly tasty and a good sized portion. The wait staff / front of house are an asset to Hub St Ives with their positive attitude and how well they work together. We will definitely be visiting again next year when we visit, it's just a shame we're 360 miles away or we'd be back sooner!

A nicely presented out restaurant with bags of potential. Unfortunately I think we (a group of 4, aged between 23-25) were written off when we walked through the door. Treated like children, we were sat right in the back corner of the restaurant, with lots of tables free towards the front and more importantly the view. We were in for breakfast, which came out slower than expected, considering that that there wasn’t many people eating, but the food was good. Nothing out of this world, but then again we did have 4 Standard “Cornish” breakfasts. The produce was high quality and cooked to the standard expected of a professional restaurant. At times the staff came across as rude, with the exception of a lovely female waiter. I don’t think this was intentional, but made us feel unwelcome. It’s a shame as the weather and views in St Ives are spectacular. I think some of the staff were having an “off day”, but most importantly I would still recommend. Pros: - Nice quality food - Profesional Resturant - Lovely, Harbourside location Cons - Not a very warm welcome - Treated like Children - Slower than expected Service

We have visited here several times over the years and unfortunately the service, food and atmosphere seems to have gone down hill. The dirty fries are no longer big portions and come on very small plates whereas just last year they were very big and had coriander, loads of sauce and lots of meat on. The burgers no longer come with chips either. Some of the staff seemed to be away with the fairies and didn't know how to take an order for food AND drinks. We asked for small plates (4 of) and we ended up with double - drinks took around 30 minutes to come out. Even the pot washer had to flag a member of staff down for us because we'd been waiting 40 minutes just to order food. Really sad to see if go downhill so quickly. Out of the 7 days we were here we came twice and both times were just awful. Actually, really sad as we used to really, really love coming here. The photo I've added is from 1 year ago!!! I didn't take a photo this time because they were so poor!!! I can guarentee they look abysmal now.

Good reputable places. I am surprised by the quality of the burgers, they are very rich in taste and tasty. Chips are standard, however the Mother Clucker fries with chips are the best. I believe the chefs have different styles of making the food that gives a different taste. I had the mother Clucker again and I was very disappointed regarding the taste as it wasn't the same as the first time I had it. It is a rip off regarding the quantity, you order a burger that cost £12 and comes with no fries! I can understand that kind of price and portion in Centre London, but not in Cornwall area. I highly recommend mother Clucker which is chips covered with a delicious sauce. They start serving luck from 11:30am Burgers are good. I tried the OG burger. I would recommend this place but the mother Clucker fries is a MUST try, tell the chef to make sure it has more brown sauce!

Booked a table for 18.30 and arrived on time to be shown upstairs to our table. We had a good view of the sea from where we were seated. Service was friendly and efficient. A good atmosphere although quite noisy at times. I had a Brie be king burger which was chicken breast, bacon jam ,brie and rocket leaves in a brioche bun with skin on fries made dirty. It was delicious. My husband had chilli cheese burger with plain skin on fries. Again delicious. We enjoyed our visit so much we returned the next morning at 10.45 for breakfast. We were able to choose our own table this time downstairs. Again we had a good view of the sea. Although not a vegan I chose the vegan breakfast as it appealed to me. Once again this was delicious husband chose dirty breakfast fries which he thoroughly enjoyed. Service was great. Would definitely return.

This is our second visit to Hub. Last year we got take-out due to the on-going Covid situation, however this year we sat in and managed to net a window/balcony table on the first-floor which was lucky. Great views over the harbour! We ordered chicken burgers plus a side of chips. I think I may of been too hungry as I don’t really remember eating mine, woofed it down in a matter of seconds 🤣🤦♂️. It was tasty, if very messy however. I feel it could of been bigger, as could the fries which also were very tasty. One thing that spoilt it was a group of French people also dining on the balcony, who despite the signs decided it was fine to all smoke!! I decided against saying anything to them as I was out for dinner with my partner and so didn’t want any upset. Maybe signage needs to be more obvious 🤷🏼♂️
