This place has seating part and takeaway. I was advised to look for one which said sea fresh but this does not. The prime purpose for going somewhere like this is to have good fish and chips and that I got. Not great but definitely good enough plus a bit. This fish was very good indeed, often it's watery due to being fried from frozen, this was not watery at all. The chips were not bad either but again not your tripple cooked gourmet variety. The seating are was basic it had some generic ketchup which was almost see through and tasteless. There was no tartar sauce, which for a fish restaurant is a bit of a no brained isn't it? Upon arrival I was kept waiting for 3 minutes or so before any staff came into view. She then took my order and ushered me to take a seat and delivered my meal to me. All the time I was eating there was a door open to the store room so I couldn't help but watch someone very half-heartedly tending g to something in the back room then tramping through the restaurant in scruffy jeans etc. Not exactly instilling any thoughts of cleanliness hygeine or just quality of service. It seemed clean enough, don't get me wrong it was just the apparent attitude, lack of uniform, not bothering to close the door which all added to the initial delay of making me wait wondering if they were even open that simply put me off, hence the 3 stars, food would have got a 4...
Read moreThe food we just bought from here was terrible. The chips were dryer than the Sahara! The burgers tasted cheap as hell, the scampi my sister had didn't even look like any scampi I've ever seen in my life & even the dog didn't want it! I'm not making this up. Even the tomato sauce my nephew had on his burger was the thinnest, most runny pale looking tomato sauce you'll ever see! Also, I've only given 3 stars for the service as my nephew specifically said that he didn't want lettuce in his burger, yet it came with lettuce. All in all this was a pretty negative experience, & I definitely wouldn't go back again. Bloomfield chippy you seriously need to...
Read moreCalled in tonight as local chippy was closed. Quite a few customers was in at the time. The lady serving (later found out her name Sue) apologied for me having to wait. I didn't have to wait too long. Sue soon had all the customers sorted and out the door. Now the most important thing the food! The chips was good, not too greasy and the right amount of salt and vinegar. Mushy peas, good quality and not too runny. Gravy was also good with no lumps. Steak puddings was a little over peppered. On the whole would...
