WENt into the Manchester again. This evening online kitchen open till 9. But they shut at 8pm without informing the bar staff. So then the manager came to the table to speak with us with an attitude and said that he said he closed the, kitchen the managerwas an absolute queen,OMG he/ she minced away in a huff after being told that he closed the kitchen without informing the bar staff to be able to inform customers when about to order at the bar. Been here a few times for meals and drinks. However very disappointed at the food quality this time and that of the service from the kitchen not ready the tickets correctly.
Then had the following days evening meal cancelled due to Blackpool playing at home. Baring in mind that the football was afternoon kick off and the evening meal wasn’t till 6pm. Then to find out that they shut and didn’t open in the evening. Very disappointed in this place and Greenking for allowing it. So ended up going the other end of town to Weatherspoons for a lovely meal instead. ———————————————————— As stated previously. We visit a few times a year whilst in Blackpool. The food was brought out to us as a group of four. I had to go back to the bar as had things missing. The young lady that served us originally then went to check the ticket and said that she would ensure the kitchen would correct the mistake. That was great, but my food had gone cold by then, but as I was hungry I ate it. The mash was just a lump. Not the usual nice mash you expect from a Greenking pub. The fact that you also cancelled our table for the following evening because football was on in the afternoon and it was Blackpool at home. We had walked passed to find the Venue completely closed, it was as if you couldn’t be bothered to open. I visit many Greenking pubs throughout the uk and 99% of them stop serving 2 hours before kickoff and then they start again an hour after final whistle. That is good management. But in the case your your bar and it’s position in the country at a prominent holiday destination, I would have...
Read moreWent in here for one night with the family whilst on holiday. Pool table was out of order. It was dead in there hardly anyone in there. It was clean and spacious big tvs all over the place. I think they have a soft play area for kids but only open on the weekends. My reason for 3 stars is i found the bar maid to be very rude. I asked her simple questions and advice on the best places to go around blackpool and she wasn't very helpful at all. She told us we had till 9pm till we had to leave as we had the kids with us which is fair enough. I wasn't going to stay beyond that anyway but twice I walked over to the bar area to get a round of drinks and she seen me coming and disappeared into the back kitchen area twice. On the second occasion I shouted hello after a good 5 mins wait no response. Eventually a guy and the same woman came out. I asked for some drinks to which she said you only have 6 mins before you leave so you'll have to drink quick. I said I've been waiting by the bar area for that time to be served so can't I have an extra 5 minutes and then we will leave to which she replied you haven't been waiting nowhere near that long. I found her to have an answer to everything very rude lacking customer service skills for sure. Bad vibes and dirty looks me and my partner was getting the time we did spend in there too from her just honestly didn't know what her problem was. If I ever come back to Blackpool which I'm sure I will one day. I very much doubt we will ever return...
Read moreNO STARS!!!! My family visited this pub 2 days in a row. On the first visit excellent service and no issues. On the 2nd visit we all went to the bar together as there were no seats. My 20 year old daughter discussed the cocktail 2 for 1 deal with the bar staff and we ordered. we purchased 2 cocktail jugs and 2 pints. We got a table a short time later and were about half way through our cocktail jugs. My husband needed another pint and my daughter went to the bar but this time was asked for ID (from the same bar staff) so she came and sat back down. We were then approached by security and asked for ID which my daughter didn't have on her but I did have a photo on my phone which they didn't accept (fair enought) so we were asked to leave!!!??? We obviously questioned this and explained that my daughter had already been served the cocktail and we hadn't finished them. The security guy said "If you don't leave I will make sure you aren't served anywhere in Blackpool" I was horrified at this comment. We are a quiet family and at no point were loud or rude so we left because we felt intimidated. We had to leave our drinks which we paid good money for. I emailed a complaint on the 1st October but have...
