I highly recommend visiting and taking the Tramtown tour. Tours are every Monday and Saturday at 10.30am. The staff and volunteers at Tramtown are wonderful, friendly people. They are so welcoming and knowledgeable. There's nothing they don't know about trams and their history. I learned so much about Blackpool, the surrounding areas and of course, trams! Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours are a great way to explore Blackpool Promenade anytime of the year! During the Christmas Season this is made even more spectacular with the "Illuminated Trams" for all ages to enjoy! You can't wander amongst the trams in the depot now, as they have closed it off due to elf n safety. So you can only view the trams at a distance. However there are two you can sit in. The staff are very friendly but the photos shown in the presentation were a bit small and hard to see . I treated the 6 pound entry fee more as a donation to help the group.
