I highly recommend visiting and taking the Tramtown tour. Tours are every Monday and Saturday at 10.30am. The staff and volunteers at Tramtown are wonderful, friendly people. They are so welcoming and knowledgeable. There's nothing they don't know about trams and their history. I learned so much about Blackpool, the surrounding areas and of course, trams! The tour only costs £5 per adult and lasts 90 minutes. All monies raised go straight into caring for the wonderful variety of trams. If you come to Blackpool, you must visit Tramtown!

Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours are a great way to explore Blackpool Promenade anytime of the year! During the Christmas Season this is made even more spectacular with the "Illuminated Trams" for all ages to enjoy! Booking online is essential as places do get booked quickly & prices are very reasonable indeed. Disabled access is available. For all times/prices etc. You are best logging onto BPL Transport as times change due to when Illuminations are Switched on Each night.

Cannot recoment this enough. Lots of iconic history, trams gallore and a very Freindly and informative staff. Excellent homemade gift shop at the end of the tour too. A Tram lovers dream and a bucket list experience. Spent a lot of money as its such an incredible cause. Trams from 1800s to 50s, and modern day. Tour the depot, usually the workshop and the electrics station.

You can't wander amongst the trams in the depot now, as they have closed it off due to elf n safety. So you can only view the trams at a distance. However there are two you can sit in. The staff are very friendly but the photos shown in the presentation were a bit small and hard to see . I treated the 6 pound entry fee more as a donation to help the group. I do wish them well as I have been a fan of the tramway...
