This was my first visit to this restaurant, although I was with family who have frequented it before.
Upon arrival we were placed upstairs, our drinks order was taken and the poppadoms arrived in good time, sadly however this is where is went down hill.
The poppadoms we chewy and we waited over 30 mins to have our food order taken, at one point I asked a member of a staff to take the order and I was told he didn't have the pad while holding a pen and paper in his hand, someone came and took the food order and extra drinks were orderd, the drinks never turned up.
Upon the food turning up after a further 40 min delay, it was cold and the Chicken Tikka Jalfrazi was bland and sadly I would have to say the worst I have ever had.
Other tables were complaining about the service and after we had eaten we tried numerous times to get the attention of the staff to get the bill. Eventually we went down stairs to pay. When one of our party was explaining the issues to the staff, they started having a conversation with another member of staff about our drink, when we explained this was rude, she explained she can multi task.
Eventually the manager turned up, who sadly had been to the same school of customer service and clicked his fingers and said we had explained enough, they dropped this bill by about 22%, however I can guarantee they lost us as customers, not because of the food - everyone has a bad day, but the customer service...
Read moreRudest restaurant owner/staff. Alert to everyone - do not ever dare to give food feedback to these people. Instead of taking my feedback in a positive and polite manner this person started arguing and at the end he was rude enough to tell me that I WILL NEVER SERVE YOU AGAIN. Like really?? Is this the way people in service industry should be talking? This was a shocking experience. I honestly feel that such people should be banned from this profession. Now coming back on my feedback on food, we ordered Butter Chicken which did not taste like butter chicken at all. It was sweet as a dessert. So this feedback offended Mr Owner/employee . Authentic Indian butter chicken is bit sweet but not sweet like a sugar syrup. Either they should not ask for customers feedback or learn to take feedback positively. This restaurant is surely not serving authentic Indian food and definitely not run by Indians. Overall food is secondary but Mr Owner/staff should definitely take some lessons on how to behave...
Read moreBADLY MANAGED - BLAND FOOD I visited with my partner. We were in the middle of eating our meals when a bunch of lads walked in screaming and laughing so loud that it felt we were in a football stadium. It was so uncomfortable, loud and a terrible and created a terrible atmosphere for all the diners. I couldn’t hear my parter who was sat next to me. The manager instead of dealing with this chaos he was stood hugging them and laughing with them. When I paid the bill , the owner said it was some school friends of the manager. Who cares ?!! He also didn’t like the fact that I told him it was really a poor experience and got angry. My point is that I just paid £52 for 2 meals and a nice experience which was spoiled by these thugs and the blaze attitude of the restaurant. The food ok just your typical Indian curry nothing special about it . We won’t be returning and what a waste of money ! Better restaurants which are better managed and a less...
