Boo Koos- Burgers-Shakes-Tex Mex — Restaurant in England

Really sad that I even have to write this review as I've had a lovely experience previously but found the service a disgrace today when I was trying to book a table. Called to book a table for my partners birthday to be told for the purpose of track and trace (which I believe to be very responsible), bookings need to be made via Facebook messenger. Well, neither I or my partner have Facebook so I politely (and a little embarrassingly) said that I could not possibly send a Facebook message, the lady (I say lady VERY loosely) then pretty much accused me of lying to her (As if I would lie about not having Facebook) in order to book a table....trust me I would much rather deal with you via messenger to avoid speaking to such a rude person, however, not having Facebook...it is sadly impossible. I then told her "Not everyone has Facebook" because, lets face it...not everyone does. What do non-Facebook patrons do when they want to book a table? She then umm'd for a bit before offering to give me their email address and I grabbed a pen. I was then told "oh but we don't check our emails that often" so if you want to make a formal complaint via email, don't bother because they don't care to check, you are better off writing a bad review apparently. The lady (who I actually understand is one of the OWNERS) could not even spell the email when I did try to take it, misspelling it twice before giving me the real one. At this point I gave up and thought about sending an email of complaint to save a bad review but as previously put "WE DON'T CHECK OUR EMAILS THAT OFTEN". So here we are, really disappointed and sadly feeling like we don't particularly want to bother with this restaurant ever again :( believe me when I say I understand the frustrations and difficulties with everything going on around COVID-19 but there are ways to speak to a person and...

Staff are fabulous American manager awful. Patronising. Rude. Abrupt with no customer service experience whatsoever. Ordered fajita burger but was tasteless,, asked for spicey sauce to liven it up…. Was told we don’t have it on all of the tables. Tried it on the burger… still tasteless. Asked for something else, received a new buffalo chicken burger…. Was raw in the middle. Waitress was very apologetic, sent manager over. This American manager was very rude, abrupt and patronising,, I asked for the burgers to be taken off the bill… as well as the side order of rice that she kept leaving. She refused the rice to be taken off and advised me to order the beef burger as the chicken wasn’t to my taste. I told her the chicken was to my taste has it been cooked properly, as red meat my body Dosent process properly. To then be charged for all of the meals, laughed at when this was pointed out to the manager, who also informed me I’d offended table 3 when asking for the chilli sauce,,, I excused myself for interrupting said table, and they were not aware of me asking nor offending them as the manager said.

Total experience for this place,,, Excellent staff,, money orientated manager, things can go wrong in the kitchen not a problem but the way it’s dealt with is always the lasting experience...

Shockingly awful service. Came here without a booking. Admittedly on a Saturday night. However despite being 70% full we managed to get a table at the window/stool area. There were approximately 10-13 staff walking around, no one front of house to greet customers. No order of place at all. Chaotic and totally disorganised. We ordered and had our food. The food is good and credit to the kitchen staff. But the experience of dining was poor. Very little acknowledgement of customers. No one ready to take orders despite a plethora of staff behind the counter. No one to check in on you after receiving your order. Staff seem apathetic, vague, disinterested. I complained to the duty manager. No apology. Lots of excuses about training new staff who are all students and how the manager of the Helston restaurant had left so the Falmouth manager was covering. What a load of tosh. The food is good but the service is shockingly poor. Often I see reviews where people slate a restaurant online but seldom raise an issue at the time. Well, I did that. Raised the issue at the time. What did I get? Excuses and no apology. If I'm looking to have a burger again in Falmouth, Bookoos would be a final choice. You get better service at Whetherspoons. Now that's...
