We were offered a booth with wooden seat the look of the restaurant reminded me of a mcdonalds or burger King. The was a charged of ÂŁ1.10 per poppadom and charges for the dips on top which was sparingly to the point we had to limit what we used on the poppadoms incase we ran out . The onion bargie was size of a 50p and consisted of mainly flavoured breadcrumbs it was tasty but very small. We had chicken tikka as main the chicken was very over cooked tough, chewy and dry the sauce tasted more like a korma as it was very coconut tasting, when its suppose to be tomato and creamy, and it was quite watery not thick like tikka sauce ive had previously, the sauce tasted like it came out of a jar. . The rice had lots of full cloves in it and that's all we could taste, it was over powering, both me and my wife left almost of the rice and half of the chicken in the curry sauce. I was very disappointed I could do better at home. The portions was very small and quite expensive for poor food. We will not be returning. My family has been here for takeaway and they comment that it's very good food which is why we tried it. My experience is poor quality, poor atmosphere, small portions and very expensive for what it is. As mentioned very...
Read moreCalled in for a meal after a couple of pints of Bass with my nephew more or less next door. This was on a barmanâs recommendation , a few nights ago , he certainly knew his Indian food . Al had a tandoori mixed grill while I had a really hot chicken dish that I cannot pronounce which was about the same strength as a vindaloo , which is not shown on the menu .We donât do starters but have it all in as sides with the main , well , this had to be the best meal weâve had all holiday , washed down with a pint of âGurkhaâ lager which we had never sampled before , this was also very good . There was absolutely no room left for a sweet as we were well and truly stuffed. We insisted on shaking the chefâs hand and complimenting him , he seemed a tad embarrassed but had no need to be . The whole experience was spot on from the welcome to the service then the food . Did we leave a tip ? It would have been rude not to . The restaurant was not over busy , but I suspect that weekends really would be , there was one quite large party , I just think we struck lucky on...

This large restaurant is casual and unassuming but donât let that fool you. The food is âbrilliantâ! Our saag bhaji was well made and had an interesting ingredient in it that made it outstanding. We discussed it with the chef and he agreed with our finding as to what it was and what made the dish so flavorful and tasty. The bangain bharta was very delicately flavored with cardamom - a first for us. The paneer shashlik was well presented and had great taste although I would have preferred a slightly stronger marinate. The service was quick, friendly with a touch of special attention by the owner. We ended the meal with a hot cup of masala tea which hit the spot. All in all a very satisfying and pleasant dinner. Reminded us of our home-cooking. Give this place a shot - you are bound to enjoy...
