First time coming here & they did not disappoint! Burger Boi really said we are starting off the new year with a bang! We had our 50% discount code, via email & we got to ordering food!
I was pretty skeptical as there are loads of burger places in Derby but some are hit & miss.
But they really do a great burger plus other food items on their menu.
Usual burger places in Derby I don’t know why, but their burgers are super oily! It’s just horrible to eat a burger that has so much oil, but Burger Boi did a better job than other places.
Of course this is opinion based & experience, each to their own.
We got 2 burger meals, desserts, milkshake, some hot honey chicken pieces & BBQ wings, some good old Mac & Cheese. Let’s just say we ate with our eyes!
The vibes inside are so chilled, & we had a really good customer service experience.
They seemed super relaxed & gave us loads of options & honest feedback on what to try for food.
I have allergies, so I appreciate the sign so clear near the tills about allergies. This is clear to them, that allergies are important.
I really liked the fact I got a cheesy burger but requested less cheese! Some places get weird about this, but Burger Boi were super cool to adjust their menu.
I would definitely recommend for anyone to dine in or take away.
They have good options for burgers & sides. I would say their food is super filling, & for the price with the discount code, it’s worth every penny!
We will...
Read moreOrdered at the counter. Was told 10 -15 mins or maybe 25 mins as were really busy. Didn’t get food for 55mins. Kitchen staff seemed very busy however the employee packing the order was so laissez-faire it was comical. He then decided to go awol for 15 mins with all the staff looking for him! Finally after 55 mins my order number was called out . Hallelujah!! Just as I picked up the order a rat ran across the front of the counter and ran into the kitchen !!! I swiftly left with my food as the staff tried to assure the other customers the rat had come in through the door! I got home and to be honest felt very uneasy about the whole rat incident and decided it was safer not to eat the food. Just under £20 spent and lost but better safe than sorry when it comes to food safety. Was going to ring the store and ask for a refund but totally disheartened by the whole episode . Suffice to say I won’t be giving them the benefit of the doubt or returning in this life time. Highly disappointed as their marketing campaign is strong but whoever owns this franchise/business needs to seriously look at the hygiene standards, attitude of the staff and the...
Read moreFood was OK but service was atrocious. Went in and was the only customer in the building yet it still took them 25 mins to make my burger meal to go. I counted 7 members of staff who all kept discussing something in a circle and looked like they didn't have a clue what was going on. The manager or owner I'm not sure but he was in a casual jumper was eating food on the line, just grabbing hands full and eating where they cooked. The whole place was disorganised. The food was OK quality but the portions were small, each patty is comparable to a McDonald's cheeseburger patty size. I assumed an £11 triple cheeseburger would have decent sized meat pattys in them. I went in as I was given a 50% off voucher but even then it wasn't worth it. I'd be foaming at the mouth if I'd payed full price.
Also kid wouldn't eat the chips as they smelt funny and had stuff not advertised on them and only had a couple bites (she did like the milkshake). Frankly at 50% off it was a waste of money which still cost £14.21. Look at the pictures and tell me if you think that order is worth...
