Went to BK Wokingham twice in November and, well, i wont be going again. First time was a drive through with my daughter and after a long 40mins trapped in a drive through que we ordered our food. Only problem was they gave us the complete wrong order so had a further 10 mins delay while they rectified this. The staff where accommodating and apologetic so I thought little of it. Second time I went to eat in with family and was left wondering they still have a restaurant section! Stood to order at the counter, as I had cash, and was ignored for the first 10 mins while driver after driver collected their deliveries. After I prompted the employee for service I was grunted at to give my order. Regardless of this I ordered for the family and collected my receipt. Perhaps not so surprisingly, after a large wait amongst the sea of helmets and the other not so impressed customers, I received 4 meals that where stone cold. 3 burgers and nuggets with chips where all cold. They replaced them for hot food while making me feel like the criminal and because of this I'm left feeling like I will never visit one of my favourite fast food chains again. It’s not usual for me to go out of my way to make a complaint, but the state of the Burger King restaurant in Wokingham (both service and floor behind counter) was atrocious!!! I think you should send a mystery shopper to this establishment asap (around 6-7pm any day) and see if their experience is the same. I waited in a queue of 3 people, after about 15 minutes I was at the front of the queue (this is incredibly slow). The guy said he’d be with me in 2 minutes. After about 25 mins of waiting I asked the guy if he was going to serve me, to which he replied 2 minutes again, at that point I had had enough and stormed out of the restaurant without any food. I will never go back there or order online from there again. Whilst waiting at the front of the queue, I observed the operations which were a shambles. Someone caused a fire in the back and there was food, grease (black), and rubbish all over the floor (which my partner spotted last time we went there), so I would assume that is not being cleaned properly and will be a breeding place for rats/mice. Read moreTook so long. A server was taking orders. We were in there for 44 minutes. Got to our turn to order and she said "give me one minute" we then watched her and others members of staff faffing around and chatting by the drinks machine like no one knew what they were meant to be doing. All the while someone's kids are shouting and being extra loud (maybe it was my hangover, but we just wanted greasy food, not 7 kids screaming about thier ice cream) 15 minutes later the assistant manager had to come take our order. Finally! What a great manager to actually see how long we were stood there. However can't fault the drive through assistant as he was smashing out orders like no tomorrow. Cleared 10 cars before we even had our order taken. If you are looking for a meal on a slightly busy day, order from drive through don't waste your time in the actual restaurant.
P.s. we did try to order from just eat/deliveroo/uber But all the apps stated no drivers were available.. ... even though we saw 7 courier's from different platforms during our 1.5 hour visit to BK.
