Chargos Piri Piri — Restaurant in England

I've been here a couple of times over the past 10 months 'ish - The portions are really, really small.

The first time I went here, after they changed over from Roosters to Chargos, our entire £40 + was replaced due to the seriously small portions they delivered. Butterfly chicken was one single breast etc.

The newly delivered food was indeed far better, proper portions - as they should have been in the first place.

I offered to give them the small portions back, they said no keep and eat them.

Not expected from them but impressive none the less.

The latest order (and last ever order) was even worse.

I've attached an image. This is the image, of Beef in Pitta with extra Halloumi and a large Mushroom which has been DOUBLED in size, apparently.

This cost £11.99, ordered tonight.

I called to complain about the fact it was 5 small bits of beef, barely any mushroom and halloumi and spoke to the manager.

He then proceeded to tell me that I like to complain. In fact he remembered me from the last time I complained about the portions, he remembered me.

The food tastes good but the portions seem to be really really small, even when DOUBLED from the original size.

In my opinion I've just been ripped off.

I wouldn't advise wasting...

I was on my way back to London but decided to eat something on the way. I looked up to find some places and Chargos came up so decided to give it a try. I ordered 1/2 chicken (Mild) meal with Rice and 6 peri peri wings (hot). But the cashier did not bother telling me that the meal does not come with the drink so I had to play £1 extra for the drink . I'm not sure since when a drink is not included in a meal? The 1/2 chicken was good, juicy and not dry at all. However, the rice were below par. They looked like the sticky ones from the bottom of the pan :( The chicken wings were a total disaster. They were bland and could barely taste any sauce on them. For a food lover and enthusiast, this was one of the worst food I've ever had. The prices were reasonable but the food quality definitely needs some serious attention. I won't be risking...

Hair in my food....

We ordered from there on a Friday night as we needed a quick meal and Deliveroo said it would be ready in 20 mins to collect. We got a notification once ordered saying that it would be 30 mins, we went to collect at the stated time and we were waiting around for another 10-15 mins.

Once we got back to eat, the first bite of my burger had a long black hair in it which was absolutely disgusting and put us all off our meals. We spend nearly 50 pounds on food for the family and it was ruined as we didn't know if we were going to find more hair in the other meals.

Luckily ordering through Deliveroo, we got our money back on the burger but I still feel massively disappointed. The staff were friendly but that was a huge let down and we will not be...
