Great for a pub lunch and family friendly. Relaxed and informal.
Visited on a Saturday lunchtime - it was not busy although we did book as there were 8 of us. Very friendly staff that serves us from our table. Food was typical pub grub - burgers, which were great, steaks, fish and chips etc. They have a kids menu and a small plates menu - I had the cod fingers bap and it was excellent - fresh fish, crispy batter, straight from the fryer, with decent tartare sauce and a small side salad of fresh leaves. Chips were good and crispy. Extra sauces were offered.
Drink selection is mostly mainline taps and spirits with a small selection of bottles although they did have Maltsmiths IPA on draft when we visited.

The Sunday roasts are supposed to be just as impressive, will be tasting...
