China Diner — Restaurant in England

My partner picked up a takeaway from there last night and this will be the last time we do that. Aren't we in the middle of a pandemic? Aren't restaurants and takeaways supposed to be COVID secure and make sure that customers AND staff are safe?

Well, no screens up to ensure staff and customers are safe. Sign on door says only 2 customers allowed in at a time...there were 6 customers in (not all of the customers were wearing masks and weren't asked to do so and neither was the member of staff) and no one was told to stand outside...there is definitely not enough room for social distancing. Their young child was running around pretending to be a screen super hero and 'play attacking' customers. Again, social distancing out the window. The final straw was when a customer, who was leaning over the counter talking to the member of staff, was asked for his mobile phone number he placed the order with. She asked him for his phone, took it off him, looked at it and then handed it back - no gloves, no mask, no hand wash, close contact = potentially passing on COVID.

This is an appalling disregard for customer and staff safety and under the current guidelines I'm surprised China Diner are still allowed to operate. We will not be visiting this establishment again, even when this...

Sorry, although the house curry was ok( bit stingy with produce ) not worth the money though, the Thai house special was diabolical . A tub full of runny sauce then had to scoop out the bits that were in it. Few onions , carrots , peppers and 2 prawns and looks like one tiny piece of beef and one tiny chunk of white meat . My partner even said when he saw the tubs before I opened “oh is that from China diner” as against the odds. A first meal that was ordered a year ago which was bad so we thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt hoping a new cook etc but never again. A pile of drenched slop with mainly onions to cover the fact hardly any meat in the dishes

£24 quid spent on a very bad meal . The bbq ribs were perfect though, I will give them that. Very tasty .

To be constructive can I suggest thicker sauce and to add slightly more meat in. £7.20 is to much for veg(mainly onions,peppers and carrots )I wanted a curry with mainly meat and additional veg

Bad day at the office for the China diner., rugy finished and apparently 2 other Chinese in the area closed, led to a huge back log. We were told our food would be ready at 8. We returned to collect at 8, and were told we were waiting on the chow mein.... we got our food at 9pm..., no complaints about the food, and fully understand being busy..., just be honest,.. you hadn't even started cooking it... got back to much Wenlock at 9.25, 4 hungry tired kids, and 2 angry wives...., if the owner could please confirm, bad day at the office, our impending divorce may be cancelled......, and you owe us salt and pepper...
