We arrived late one morning on a rainy early spring day at the end of April 2024 after we'd already visited two other cafés in the town which were closed; presumably because of the rain. We parked in the car park, expensive at £4.90 for two hours on the Justpark mobile phone app. The cafe, which looks quite unassuming, is right next to the beach with the public toilets just behind in the car park. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and attentive; very pleasant and chatty. There are three dining areas, a large area to the front adjoining the beach with wooden bench style tables, an area to the side with a good number of tables plus the main inside area. The cafe is licenced so has several beers on tap including a Sharps IPA. The menu is pretty good. Service very good. Tables clean; no dead-trays, plates or cups lying around. Well behaved dogs are also welcome. So you can walk your dog on the beach and then enjoy a pint of Sharps at the cafe. So good we visited again today when the sun was shining and a good number of tables outside were taken. One of the girls even ground some Cornish coffee and packaged it up for my mum; nice touch 👍. A very nice café. Level 9 Google reviewer; 1,000 plus reviews, 1.5 million views and over 12,000 photos with over 50 million views and still going strong 💪. Although I'm not enamoured with Google and their service at the moment 🤷🏻‍♂️. They're inconsistent. Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

Poor customer service and a typical tourist rip off. Here is my response to your reply. The one who served us gave me no information about weather I'm to wait for my order or do you actually bring it out to us. So I had to ask as I was stood their not knowing what to do. Not told where to get sugar from or even bought any with the drinks. So now defend your poor customer service? I'm glad you have so many work shy/retired people who rent out over priced properties around the area that can afford to eat and drink with you regularly. Such a shame they rely on hard working people like us to get fleeced by them. Spending our hard earned money on 1 or 2 weeks a year holiday. Soon the gas and electric bills will put an end to this monopoly on overpricing in rip off Britain as working people wont be paying you when we can't afford our own bills. Maybe then you might understand what it's like when we are not paying your bills, your mortgages as well as our own.

Crooklets Beach Café in Bude is an absolute gem! Whether you visit in the morning, afternoon, or evening, the vibe is always on point. The café often features live music, which adds to the laid-back and lively atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to relax after a surf or swim. The food here is incredible—especially the BBQ pulled pork panini, which I enjoyed so much that I had one every day during my 5-day stay! The café also has a well-stocked bar, ideal for grabbing a refreshing drink after a day in the sun. Crooklets Beach Café is a must-visit if you’re in Bude. Great food, great drinks, and great vibes —what more could you ask for?

I recently visited a beach bar called Crooklets Beach Bar, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, greeting us with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm.

The setting itself was idyllic, with tables and chairs set up right on the beachfront, providing a perfect view of the ocean. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting and there was also an added bonus of a live band.

The owner, was especially welcoming and made a point to greet each guest personally. His friendly demeanor and genuine interest in ensuring everyone was having a good time added a personal touch that made the visit even more enjoyable. He was also fantastic with kids.

As for the food and drinks, they were exceptional. The menu featured a variety of fresh, locally sourced seafood dishes and classic beach bar food such as burgers, paninis and an exceptional crab sandwich which was yummy. The kids (and adults) also really enjoyed their chicken nuggets.

Overall, Crooklets Beach Bar is a gem of a beach bar, combining excellent service, delicious food and drinks, and a beautiful setting. With the added charm of a friendly owner who is great with kids, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly day by the sea. We enjoyed it that much we went 4 times over a...
