Prices were so high for the drinks and food. Food wasn't to a good standard even with a basic meal like chilli. Every member of staff looked flustered and were very unorganised for something we booked ahead for with our meal choices etc. We were there for the bingo. Machine kept having problems, the caller was going far too fast and many people were complaining. Gentleman who handled the mic for a short period before the bingo started was trying to be funny and was saying rude comments, wasn't smart at all. None of the staff were attentive. Just all together not a good experience and won't ever go back. Also, when ever we called before the event; to change meal choice or number of attendees. Undoubtedly an interesting and very good value links golf experience. The course is not stupidly tricky for a links - though there are quite a few places that experience would recommend not to re visit! The main issues for me were the greens, which were pretty ropey, and that it was imho quite a dangerous course - many holes were blind and other golfers were not patient or aware of their position on the course (ie not on the correct hole, but unwilling to wait for people to play who were on the correct hole) or play tee shots despite not having any valid reason to do so. I used to like going here for Sunday Lunch, but on my last visit i felt that the place had gone downhill. I don't know whether there has been a change in management, but the quality of the food did not reach the standard it once was. It was noticeable too that the were far fewer people there! Problem is that once people move on, it's hard to get them back! We have now moved on to the much superior Golf Club at Holsworthy, where the food is excellent and this is reflected in the amount of people that go there! So come on Bude, it's time to get back on track but as for now, three stars...
