Feel a bit weird reviewing a ‘beach’, because it’s not created by anyone - it’s just… there. Nonetheless if you don’t have a lot of time on your hands and you’re looking for a beach to visit, a few things to consider:

Good

dog friendly and quite big small but beautiful historic harbor to walk around, this is adjacent to the beach decent car park and accessible toilets good choice of food and drink in and around very cool beach pool if you’re into that

Bad

it’s the kind of beach that never really dries out and is pretty slimy at low tide. So if you’re looking for golden sands all the way down the depth of then think again. As far as Cornish/Devon beaches go, it’s not the prettiest. it’s a tourist trap - not the snooty st Ives kind, but the drinking straight out the can kind. Okay in off season (kinda) but in high season it can feel like Benidorm. Might not be your vibe. bit rough around the edges - lots of trash/not well cared for food and drink venues shut very early...

Summerleaze Beach has quickly become our favorite spot during our second day here in Bude, Cornwall and for good reason! It's absolutely stunning, offering that perfect blend of classic Cornish beauty and fantastic amenities. The convenience is unmatched. Having the main car park right in front of the beach makes access incredibly easy, even with all our beach gear. Plus, the welfare facilities right at the start of the beach are a huge bonus, clean, well-maintained, and so convenient for families. The beach itself is a dream. The mix of sand and shingle is lovely, and there's so much space, even on a busy day. We loved watching the surfers, exploring the rock pools at low tide, and simply soaking up the atmosphere. And of course, the iconic Bude Sea Pool is right there, adding another unique element to an already perfect beach day. It truly offers something for everyone, from sunbathers to adventurers. A definite 5-star experience and a...

This beach was a pleasant surprise. We just came for a bit of beach feeling, but didn't expect a wide, clean and massive beach like this. The parking lot was packed, a bit of waiting was necessary. But after about 10' time we got a spot.

It's a long way to the water, but that also mean there's space for everybody. Even though very well visited, it didn't feel packed on the beach itself. People having picnic, doing sports, chilling, walking, playing...there's room for everybody.

The water itself is quite cold, but is a welcome refresher on a hot day. And it can get pretty hot in summer.

The best part about this beach is the fact that it's dog friendly. Even in high season all day!

Our English Bulldog and us really enjoyed the afternoon at this beach. Great place to be. And a wonderful restaurant (Life's a Beach) right next to.

Just be aware: The dry sand can be scary hot. Carry your dog until you reach...

Stunning!! So much better than the next closest beach nearby called Crooklets. Amazing views with a nice large clean beach. Very family friendly and an absolute pleasure to visit. We took a takeaway on the beach (all removed) and sat down in front of a setting sun and a warm gentle breeze. It's a well used beach but has a nice calming nature about it with lovely views of local homes nearby and rock fronts which are beautiful on the eye. This is one of those places that you visit and you instantly fall in love with it. If you live local I am envious of you, if you are visiting nearby, then you must pay this a place a visit. There's ample parking, good pricing and free after 6pm. Happy holidays!! 😊

I decided that I would visit this beach with my 'family' and I noticed that there was a lot of sand as I drove up in my plane towards the field. Upon reaching this beach I slowly trampled the public passing by with my (family). But alas upon reaching this beach I noticed masses of sand piling upon me and my *son*. We got to the water just to find out that it wouldn't be dry enough for us so we turned around and walked across the disintegrated (Steven) stones that many would call sand. Attached is a photo of my "family" and I on this beach. Overall I would say the beach was too sandy and the water wasn't dry enough.
