Tasty Pasties Bude — Restaurant in England

We have been coming on holiday to Bude every summer for well over 5 years now without fail. Part of the holiday tradition in our family is to have a bacon baguette and cream tea from the Tasty Pasties on the very last day before the drive back home to Swindon. The bacon baguettes and cream tea packs from the Tasty Pasties are simply the best you can get in the UK! Every single year the food is simply amazing and never disappoints!! You would be hard pushed to find it cheaper anywhere else too! A great holiday to Bude is always made better by a visit here. On a sunny morning, go and buy a bacon baguette and a cream tea from the Tasty Pasties, take it to the marina close to the Falcon Hotel in Bude, pay 50p for an hours car parking and enjoy both the view and the food sat on a bench! Absolutely perfect!!! You won't be disappointed! Can't wait until...

I visited this place after seeing it had no bad reviews and mainly 5 stars. I wasn’t disappointed after ordering a large steak pasty (traditional), just the right colour and shape you expect from a pasty, and the taste was perfect, the pastry beautifully made and cooked, and the filling was a perfect mix of meat & veg with no fatty bits. The only way this could’ve been better would be a slightly more generous size for a ‘large’ pasty (it could pass for a medium). However, it was so good I couldn’t bring myself to knock off a star for its size when there are so many pasties out there cough ‘Pengenna Pasties’ down the road cough that favour quantity...

We popped in at 3.30pm on a Sunday after our sons football match. We could not have been made more unwelcome. It was awkward!! They didn't really want to sell us a pasty, or any hot pasty and certainly not a hot drink! The cold pasty we did buy (One steak and one steak and stilton) tasted awful. I was basically told that at that time of day they wouldn't serve a hot drink!!! Thank god for Costa!!! One plus is that the caramel shortbread was good!! I get it's a late on a Sunday, but maybe find a job that you don't feel resentful against paying customers or just close the shop when you are fed up...
