Came here on a Friday evening and had a lovely time, with really great service, but a couple of issues with the food, hence losing a star. First time coming here and have to mention the staff are fantastic. Really friendly and just the right amount of attentiveness. I had the chicken wings to start with the hot sauce and blue cheese dip. The wings themselves were beautifully cooked, really tender, and fell off the bone. The sauce, though, wasn't hot at all (at least not to me). I found it more to be a bbq sauce than a hot sauce as it had quite a bit of sweetness. I asked if it was the hot sauce, and after checking with the kitchen, I was told it was. They were still lovely, though, and I would order again, I'd just mention I like them hotter. My partner had the prawns and said they were fantastic! Really well cooked and full of flavour, one she'll definitely order again. For main, I went for the 1/2 roast chicken, which again was so well cooked, but the same as before with the sweetness on the hot sauce. I would order again, though, as the chicken (and the chips) were delicious. My partner went for the pork quesadillas, and found them to be nice for the first couple of bites, but then too much fattyness came through which led to them being too rich for her and meaning she left some and left her not really enjoying them by the end of it. For dessert, we shared the ginger sauce cheesecake and unfortunately found it to be very dry, chalky, and lacking in any flavour. The ginger sauce lacked ginger too, and we ended up leaving the majority of it. This dish we did mention to the server that we wouldn't get again as it wasn't very nice. We were kindly given 50% of it which we thought was very generous of them. Overall, the meal was very enjoyable, with excellent 1st rate service, and whilst it was a little quiet when we first arrived, it picked up and had a great atmosphere when we were leaving. The food was excellent mainly, with just a couple of niggles. Definitely recommend coming here!

Honestly - I was disappointed with the food here. With there being nothing like this in Chester or nearby I was hoping for and expecting an authentic US BBQ meal. I ordered the BBQ tray for 1 to try as much as I could. The long rib tasted of petrochemical / diesel, not smokey like previous smokehouse cuts I have eaten. It was rubbery and greasy as opposed to tender. The pork ribs were a better texture but didn't taste of much at all. The wings were dry and tiny and the sauces all seemed to be out of a bottle. The mac and cheese was lukewarm and had no flavour at all. My son had a cheese burger and the patty was so overcooked it was black on the outside and grey right the way through. If it had been mine I would have returned it. I told the waiter, who was friendly and courteous (though he did turn us away when we arrived around 25 minutes early) that the long rib tasted oily. He apologised and gave me a generous refund on the meal. Based on the overall experience and despite the waiter doing a decent job (though with him only - he was understaffed) and particularly on account of the disappointing quality of the food - I wouldn't go back to this restaurant.

I recently dined at Deadwood Smoke Restaurant and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm, rustic, and inviting — the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The ambiance really added to the overall experience, with cozy lighting and a laid-back vibe that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. Now onto the food — absolutely amazing! The menu offers a great selection, but the standout for me was definitely the steak. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, juicy, and full of that rich, smoky flavor you’d expect from a place that takes its grilling seriously. You could really taste the quality of the meat and the care put into its preparation. The service was also top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and checking in just the right amount. Whether you’re a fan of barbecue, a steak lover, or just someone looking for a great place to enjoy a hearty meal with excellent ambiance, Deadwood Smoke Restaurant is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu. Highly recommended!

Another awesome burger!

I've experienced some excellent food in previous visits and enjoyed a real stack this time around. I had 'The Farmhouse' which consisted of 2 thick patties, smoked bacon, swiss cheese, pulled pork and onions with fried chicken acting as the cherry on top. I added brisket to make it a real mountain of meat.

The pulled pork was delicious and the bacon flavour really stood out. The beef patties were seasoned superbly but we're a bit overdone so were quite dry unfortunately. The brisket was slightly dry too but fell apart nicely. The fried chicken was beautifully crisp and flavourful. Overall, a hugely enjoyable burger.

The sweet potato fries were hot, crispy and fresh. A decent size portion too.

The staff were lovely and the place is pleasant. I highly recommend it.

Previous visit: Totally peng 'Monster Burger'. Sauces were delicious and the meats were devine. Cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. The maple & bacon sweet potato fries were tasty aswell. Probably not worth the £2 for the house slaw but it was quite refreshing though.

Waitress was a delight and the turnaround was very fast. Although it was a Tuesday lunchtime so extremely quiet!

Definitely somewhere I'll visit again when I have a greater appetite.

AND I DID! Yet again I left this gem of a place with full satisfaction. I had the chicken waffle burger (with added pulled pork) and it was devine! Beautifully sweet crisp belgian waffles to go with perfectly crunchy fried chicken. The brisket burnt end chunks I had as a side were also superb. Decent portion in a tasty sticky sauce. I avoided the blue cheese dip though because it tasted like vomit!

Service was fantastic as it was on my last visit. A real fav place of mine now and I'll certainly be back for...

Myself and a friend decided we would go for a walk around Nantwich town centre and see where we fancied for lunch. We had a look at the menu outside for Deadwood Smokehouse and thought this will do just nicely.

We were very well looked after by Holly throughout out lunch. There wasnt any rushed feel etc even though Holly seemed to be working solo, but it wasnt too busy. There was still a nice atmosphere with music and a few other tables dining.

I chose the cheese and bacon burger and upgraded to dirty fries. My friend had the chorizo and prawn pasta dish. Both meals were excellent, very nicely presented and enjoyable!

We decided on a dessert, I had the raspberry waffle and my friend had the nutella waffle. Now its very rare i go for a waffle dessert as it isnt my favourite. But these waffles were fantastic! Beautifully presented and delicious. I loved the melted marshmallow topping. You get two waffles each, so be prepared, i couldnt quite finish all of mine.

The restaurant is really nicely decorated and modern. We wanted to try somewhere independent, as its important to support smaller businesses in town centres especially.

They also have various midweek offers on, today was 2 for 1 cocktails.

We will definitely be back....
