Decant Wine and Cheese Bar — Restaurant in England

This is a really small bar / restaurant but provided a brilliant experience for a group of friends to catch up. There were only two members of staff working which shows the tiny scale of the place but fortunately they were both efficient and attentive throughout our stay.

The menu could have done with being more descriptive, such as outlining what each dish and platter came with but the staff were able to give a good overview. There’s a fantastic range of cheeses on offer and the portion sizes served certainly aren’t scrimped on! The sharing patters are presented well with a good selection of grapes and chutney. Complimentary baskets of bread were provided which was delicious and there was no issue getting refills. Wine selection is good too at reasonable prices.

Absolutely loved my experience here! Great selection of wine & cheeses and everything I tried was fabulous! I had a brownie for dessert and it was amazing too! Portions are more than reasonable so I wouldn’t eat a big meal before visiting - myself and my partner got the 4 cheese board with a side of olives and we still had some cheese left over. Next time we want to go bigger so we are planning to eat quite early so we can fit it all in! Staff were very friendly & knowledgable on the menu which was great in helping us decide what to have. Such a little gem in Bedford High Street and somewhere we should all support! Fantastic Cheese, Wine and atmosphere it's really a place to sit and relax!
