Got a takeaway on Thursday evening (Sept 25 2025).

First the good. Service was quick and friendly. The chicken was well cooked and tender.

Unfortunately the meals were the most bland and tasteless I have ever had. The onions in the dupiza had no flavour at all, which also went for the onion bhajis too. I only ate about 1/4 of the meal as there was just nothing for flavour and it became a chore. Even the peshwari naan wasn't very flavourful and I have never ever experienced that before.

My friend had a chicken korma and he said this was really runny and tasteless almost as if it had been watered down.

A good half of what we ordered went in the bin and not because we were full. Afterwards I was craving something with flavour all night.

First time ordering here as I’m in the area for a few weeks house sitting. I ordered the meat samosas with mint sauce, lamb biryani, and a couple of poppadoms. Honestly, gutted.

Based on the reviews, I was expecting really good food, but instead I got an oily, strange-tasting biryani with tough, fatty lamb chunks, and poppadoms that were completely tasteless.

The only saving grace was the samosas — and my favourite part, the mint sauce (though, as usual, never enough of it!).

Very inconsistent. Sorry guys, when it's good it's good, but it's not always good and I just can't trust it anymore. I've had good Jalfrezi, I've had Jalfrezi that honestly tasted like onion gravy from a tin, I've had Jalfrezi that was tomato-based sauce with a piece of green chilli floating in it, as though they had spare Rogan Josh and hoped I wouldn't notice. I've ordered other things besides Jalfrezi, but that allows an illustrative comparison.

I shouldn't be crossing my fingers that this time will be a good one whenever I order, but that's what happens now. So it's time to...
