Driftwood Cafe — Restaurant in England

Had read in the reviews there were good vegan options when we asked as we could not see any they said we don't offer vegan as people that live round here aren't vegan. They offered to adapt 2 things to vegan but it meant taking things off and having less food. Not really what you want. I heard the waitress ask the chef what vegan options do we have? He grumpily replied none. Rude. The waitress was friendly n helpful as much as she could be. The plant based "milks" as advertised for 50p extra only consisted of oat, so that's not "milks" that's just oat, but as I'm allergic to oat i had to have a black coffee. Whats happened to cheap old soya milk. I probably sound like an old moan but when you read the reviews saying good vegan options n in Google search it comes up as that under vegan friendly you expect more. This is a herd review for me as I only went in for coffee so cannot comment on the food. The coffee was lovely and extremely hot which I love.( Can't stick a cold coffee). Anyway the reason I've given it a star less is because i had a baby with me that did an almighty poop and there was no changing facilities. I had to drink up quickly and go get him changed in the car. I was told I could change him in the window seat with was a thinish bench with people eating nearby. I would never do that to my 10 month old son for his or my dignity and no one wants to be eating and breathing in fresh baby nappy! Sorry but I won't be going back if I have my child with me. I spend way too much money dining out, and whilst I cannot say this is the best breakfast I've EVER had in Torquay, if there is a better breakfast out there it'll need to be better than spectacular to beat this place. It was busy but I was welcomed in with a smile. Great coffee (didn't finish the coffee if you remember me, I was too full from breakfast, I came on my own and sat near the stairs. Really cold canned drink and the breakfast was sublime. The restaurant is clean and bright and had a great atmosphere. But now I'm feeling sad. Because I move away in a few weeks to my hometown and I KNOW there isn't a cafe like it there (Tewkesbury) Keep up...
