The Retreat Cafe — Restaurant in England

Was usually very good there but I started to get distinct impression by owner that I wasn't welcome so I stopped going Have no idea what I did wrong, if anything.

Update... Was meeting someone there the other week, though I usually avoid going in due to the owner very obviously having an issue with me. Told myself it would be ok, but it wasn't! Walked in and it was so obvious I wasn't welcome I could cut atmosphere with knife so I waited outside. She sent someone else to take coffee order but it was very awkward and uncomfortable. It's also upsetting because it's a bit of a mystery, so I can't really address any reasons why! However there's nothing wrong generally with cafe or the staff but obviously no one goes where made to feel unwelcome etc especially when I have no idea...

Was looking for somewhere to eat with my partner. Came across this cafe, tucked away in St Marychurch. We ordered a couple of breakfasts, and each wanted to change an item for something else. The staff were lovely. They allowed us to change items (a lot of places dont allow it). They ended up giving us more than we asked for. The food tasted great and was really high-quality stuff. We visited here with family a few times while on holiday a while ago we had such a good experience very polite welcoming owner / staff lovely fresh food nice drinks & an amazing breakfast, now i have located not to far away i travel most days here for breakfast and always receive a warm professional welcome also parking is good with a car park opposite or free on street parking where available and...
