Pleasant experience overall. Great service, food was pleasant and quick. Bruschetta Was lovely and fresh, Lasagna could have done with a bit more bechamel sauce to level it out but it was otherwise tasty and the garlic bread with cheese was lovely, as the table agreed, we would all order this again. The pasta with the ham and peas was ordered by my family member and I was informed that an ingredient was missing thus not making it the same, something like a boiled egg is a big miss really. My main reason for lack of the extra star was because of social distancing concerns and slight hygiene improvement possibilities. Things like wiping down seats as well as tables, wiping down menu's and keeping with the not setting the tables until guests arrive would be a much safer approach. There is also signs up stating 1m distance but this is impossible when staff are putting out more tables for arriving guests and makes current guests...

Our first time at this superb restaurant...and we will be using it on a regular basis...we managed to park right outside the front door and after climbing over a couple of push bikes lying in the doorway we were met by 2 flights of stairs. Not a problem.... There is a chair lift. So all good there. Staff were great, very polite and friendly. The food...my goodness.. absolutely first class, delicious. well done chef. They also do a Christmas menu which you need to book. We will be doing that. The prices are very competitive...if it was my restaurant you would be paying more..The only thing that let it down was that my plate was not warm or hot ... but I'm a fast eater so it was ok. I cannot rate the staff highly enough. What wonderful people. We had Francis a cheerful soul who just makes you feel better. As a coeliac I have to be very careful and he double checked everything. Made sure the other staff knew and couldn't have looked after us better. My hubby had a stake with blue cheese sauce. It was massive and he managed with plenty of yums a licking of lips. I had a carbonara which was a surprise but they stock GF pasta, so all good. Although stuffed from our main courses we both had pudding. The panacotta was delightful and he cleared the tiramisu. It's a gem that you should come and visit. The only mild irritation is the club downstairs were setting up their music for evening entertainment and it vibrates on the floor.
