Ebisu in Weston super Mare is another great spot for authentic Japanese food. What really stands out here compared to Sakura is the pricing and portion sizes. For example, at Ebisu you can get 15 pieces of fresh salmon sashimi for £21. At Sakura, 5 pieces cost £9.50, which means you would pay about £28.50 for the same amount. Ebisu gives you more value if you love sashimi and want generous portions for the price.
The staff here are very friendly and welcoming, which makes dining even more enjoyable. Service feels warm and attentive without being rushed, adding to the relaxed vibe of the place.
That said, both Ebisu and Sakura deliver excellent, authentic Japanese food. The quality is high, the flavors are clean and well prepared, and you can taste the care in every dish. If you want great Japanese food with better portion value, Ebisu is an excellent choice. If you are after beautifully crafted dishes with a slightly more premium touch, Sakura still shines.
Either way, you will leave happy...

I was pretty surprised. The staff were friendly, kind and patient with our slow choice of dishes. Chicken donburi was good, both my wife and I enjoyed this. Would definitely go again, and it's popular with many coming in and taking away, but it came in at about £80 for 3 starters, 4 mains, 1 beer and a couple of soft drinks. That's pretty pricey for...

We went for some ebi tempura, chilli fried squid, duck gyoza and a spicy sushi combo which consisted of tuna and salmon sushi rolls with some green teas to wash it down. Everything was amazing, the fresh king prawns and vegetables were incredible with the crispy tempura batter. The squid and shredded chilli was incredible, cooked really well and perfectly seasoned. The duck gyoza was hearty and delicious. The sushi like everything else...
