I had the pleasure of visiting here twice on a decent holiday to Devon and Cornwall! On the first visit we arrived at around 11am on a Thursday and lots of the goods were sold out. I got the carrot cake and my partner got the cheese and marmite pastry and an oat flat white. The carrot cake was perfectly spiced with the nutmeg and cinnamon coming through, and lovely and moist. The star was the frosting! It so so smooth and have a lovely white chocolate flavour which really complimented the carrot cake, more so than I anticipated it would. My partner is a coffee addict, and said this was one of the best he has ever had also 🙂 We arrived 10m before opening on a Saturday on the second visit, and there was already a queue! This time I tried the pain suisse - which was very well executed, even down to the vanilla glazing on top. Beautifully crisp and a perfect balance between the sweetness of the creme patissiere and dark chocolate chips. Only downside is there is only a small amount of seating outside! The staff were also super lovely and friendly, and helped with my decisions by giving more details of the products. I'd defo recommend a visit if nearby, and to get there early if you want the full selection...

However, we are down here for the week so my next visit I will try to pull myself away from all the culinary delights to get some more photos

So attended again today and again amazing food, coffee and staff. Definitely not a one hit wonder There is a consistent flow of customers who the staff know by name, and first time visitors all of whom seem to be equally delighted with their food as I am.
The staff are all really lovely and you can really see the passion from everyone.

Read moreWe got advised to check this place out whilst recently in Bude and were surprised to see queues for what we thought was just a small coffee shop but once we tried a couple of pastries we understood! The croissants were the best according to my husband and the bread bought for the next morning delicious, Interesting little place to be able to see the baking going on although would’ve been nice if they had some indoor seating to enjoy our coffees although I know there’s not space at the moment! The outdoor bit was full so sadly we couldn’t stick around but a fantastic place, if we were local my hubby would definitely be regular! Bit of a shame nothing really gluten free but I completely appreciate in the environment it wouldn’t be easy at all to accommodate. Look forward to returning on our next...
