The Carriers Inn — Restaurant in Great Britain

Had dinner and drinks here tonight. Cannot fault the front of house staff, service was very friendly and polite. At one point when eating our dinner, somebody whom I presume to be the manager came down to the bar to tell off a member of staff for smoking in the back in what apparently was the wrong place. However he did this in front of us, and without wearing any shoes, which frankly put us off our dinner and made it awkward for us witnessing this from just a couple of feet away. The front of house staff had been serving the entire restaurant all night alone, couldn’t fault them whatsoever. The telling off of a member of staff in earshot of our table had a bigger impact on us than a member of staff smoking out the back whilst not leaving anyone waiting...

Went in the Carrier's Inn after a long hot day on the coastal path. Lovely old pub with well kept real ale. Staff were very friendly and efficient. They have a tie in for food with the nearby La Bocca burger and pizza restaurant, so you can have a pint at the pub while having food delivered and eat on the premises. Great pint of Sea Fury and definitely the best burger I've ever had. The pub had a good vibe about it. Shout out to the barman who was ringing round to get a local old boy a taxi home and the maid that refilled my dogs water bowl. When I'm up this way again I'll definitely...

Well where do I begin, we are locals, an yet we were made to feel very unwelcome. We came in as we had booked a table. They asked if we could put masks on which I couldn’t as I’m exempt, they laughed at me which made me feel disrespected, I explained I couldn’t but the rest of us could, we got seated an took a long time to get served, we ended up leaving an moving to some where, where we was made to feel welcome, all in all the staff were very rude & disrespectful.
