Funky Chicken Bude — Restaurant in Great Britain

Having travelled four and a half hours from London to escape the royalist flocks I was hoping to have a decent something to eat after a tiresome journey.

I did not however except to pay almost £15 for a burger, chips, can of drink and two bits of chicken.

The food is fine. Cheesy chips should really be "chips with cheese haphazardly thrown on top with no melting". I therefore took them home and heated them through in a saucepan (thanks Granny) xx

The burger was pretty decent. The two pieces of chicken however, while seasoned pretty nicely lacked alot of meat indicating that the chicken may have had an eating disorder.

Staff wise they're are pretty much "business only". Not going to make much good chat with them that's for sure which is fair.

Growing up in Bude, Funky Chicken was a staple takeaway treat which even now as an adult I am always looking forward to when back down visiting family.

The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is always very tasty. Personally I have always preferred the fried chicken here over KFC and the chips are definitely a lot better.

As well as the chicken, the pizzas are very tasty as are the burgers. It is an overall great takeaway for a tasty alternative to fish and chips which is also widely available in town.

Vile. Just VILE. Food was soggy and virtually tasteless. Pizza tasted of nothing but the oven it was cooked in and was so soggy it fell apart as you picked it up! Burger meat was dry and the bun wet. Spicy spuds tasted like old chicken and were soggy. Chips came in a cardboard box and were so soggy the box was wet and disintegrated, leaving pieces of cardboard in the food. Can't believe we wasted money here, wasn't worth a penny. We ended up throwing almost all of it away and cooking from the freezer. Disgraceful honestly. Will never eat here again!! Literally...
