Two cancelled just eat orders in 3 days. No answers to the phone several times when I called neither. My Mrs was persistent for this food so I drove 20 minutes to get there, to then be told I have to wait 45 minutes. The response I got to explaining the above is "we're busy". The Chinese I ordered last night gave my my food in 15 minutes on New year's Eve. Different food I know but the expectation was set and met.
There was nothing else equivalent that was available in the area so I decided to wait. I got back 45 minutes later to a 10 minute wait where I was ignored by staff, but eventually I was able to ask somebody where my pizza was and I was told that it just went in the oven and that it's another 10 minutes. So, in total, 20 minutes more than the 45 minutes that I was originally told. Later, I was offered a drink while I waited. In this time, I was literally seeing them pick up the phone in front of me. If things are too busy, set that expectation on your socials or on a sign on the door so your customers know what they'll get.
The staff were not very sympathetic at all, it almost seemed as if there was an arrogance about the quality of pizza and that I should be willing to wait.
In total, I spent 40 minutes commuting and another 65 waiting. Having now driven home and had the two pizzas, antipasti and rosemary fries, I can safely say that the food was average (at best) and that it wasn't worth the hassle or the ridiculously long wait!
I did ask myself what it would take to win me over and the bar may have been unrealistically high, though I can again say that this could have been prevented or limited by the expectations that this business could have set initially. If I'm back in the area soon I'll end up driving much further away for a completely different experience.

Read moreDecided to take my husband here for his birthday on the 22nd of June 2020 and this was quite a poor experience. The wait staff were quite slow with service and I received my meal without the additional item i had requested. They did rectify this but I couldn't eat all of my pizza as the chicken tasted really dry. The best way I could describe it is like having the chicken from a Sunday roast a couple of days after. I got my husband to try a piece himself and he agreed. I ate about half of my pizza as i dont like wasting food and ive always been brought up being told not to waste my food but I couldnt eat anymore as I really wasn't getting on with the dry chicken. I did tell a waitress who apologised and said she would pass this information onto the chief.
They also had a fire alarm go off, said nothing to the customers on if it was a drill etc. They let that go on for about 3 minutes before switching it off/resetting it. I personally suffer with anxiety so this made me a bit uncomfortable for the rest of my time there.
When it came to the bill, I politely asked if we could have some money taken off due to being unable to eat all of my meal as previously mentioned to the staff. The waitress seemed quite abrupt and exaggerated saying that 3/4 of the meal had been eaten so they couldn't do anything and mentioned that something should have been said earlier. My husband was asked previously how his meal was but I was not as I had the back of my chair facing the waitress and she was gone more or less as soon as she had asked. To avoid any unpleasantries and the experience going in more negative direction; we paid the total on the bill but we wouldn't recommend this restaurant and we won't be...
Read moreLa Bocca was the worst pizza delivery I have ever had . We were ordering a pizza at a campsite whilst on holiday . It was 10 pizzas for over £100 for our group . The guy on the phone sounded very friendly and nice but we ordered it at six and they said it would be with us for 8 o clock . We hoped that a wait that long would make it good service and good pizza therefore being just very popular - we were wrong 😑. At 8:30 we were waiting outside our campsite and wondering where it was and in several more minutes time, a dangerously speedy la bocca fiat 500 came whizzing right past our campsite and my mum called them to tell them they have gone past us . In about 10 minutes after it came whizzing towards us again but it had not slowed much . As being on holiday there were kids with us and they were very hungry after a 2 and a half hours wait . there was an empty parking bay where they were waving at the driver so he headed straight for them and nearly ran the kids over! He was extremely agro and he slammed the door and threw half of the pizzas on the floor . He then shoved the other half of pizzas into my friends hands - crushing the boxes . He shouted at us menacingly , then my mum asked for an itemised bill and he shoved a crumpled reciept into my mums hand and screeched off without even asking who we were ! My one star is given for the friendly man on the phone and Most people enjoyed the pizza 🍕 But We were all extremely disappointed with delivery service and definitely will never be ordering delivery from la...
