Prime location, terrible selection of beers. With the loud music on Friday and Saturday nights, one for the teens or those that pretend to still be young 😆 It may have changed it's name from The Push and had a refurb over the years, but it stills feels like the same place minus the sticky carpets. Where Kings Head and Green Dragon had successful makeovers and continue to serve decent food and drinks, The Grapes seems stuck in its past. Visited grapes Saturday with girlfriend for lunch . We both ordered the fish and chips and have to say was amazing fish so tasty and batter crunchy and delicious. My partner had a pudding too. She ordered the cookie explosion and got 2 for 1 in one bowl she said it was yummy too. Have to say as well seen as when we visited they were short staffed you couldn't have wished for a better service amazing hospitality warm and welcoming atmosphere a true home from home would highly recommend Grapes...

Don't know who wrote all these good reviews, must have a lot of friends. I ordered cod and chips twice plus mushy peas. When the meals came we got pollock which was wet and brown. When I complained I was told that I ordered fish not cod. My wife only eats4cod.. He then took the food away without any offer of replacement or refund. Will not diverge back.
