We took our daughter here during a shopping trip, I've never been in a Taco Bell, and even during our trips to the USA, I've never eaten a taco before.
When we arrived, it was a little worrying to see a line of folk sat waiting for their orders to be prepared, but we ventured on nonetheless. The venue was very clean and tidy and had plenty of room to move around, easy to navigate if you are in a wheelchair, although there are only 2 disabled spaces outside and one of them was being used by a delivery driver, the other an Audi driver watching episodes of the Simpsons on his tablet and no Blue Badge on display.
My daughter ordered her usual meal, and my wife and I studied the menu for a while before deciding that none of it was for us. We are not spicy food-eating folk, especially after 8 pm. There was a wait of about 10 minutes while the food was freshly prepared and then we returned to our vehicle where my daughter allowed me to taste a chip - I must say I was quite taken with the seasoned fried potato product, I would have gone back and ordered a portion but I was not inclined to wait another 10 minutes.
The sauce on her quesadilla was not as spicy as I had thought when I saw it contained "CREAMY JALAPEÑO SAUCE" - I feel that it may be a product I could order if I visited during the day, but I don't fancy indigestion in the evening.
All in all, it was a pleasant experience and I would return to try some food on another occasion. (No...
Read moreEDITED FOR 2024 - I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I had to update this - the cleanliness of the toilets is just utterly disgraceful. I even gave them the benefit of the doubt and checked the others. All terrible. I personally will not be buying food there ever again. The dirt that was present only occurs from being there for days of neglect (at least). The sinks were filthy as seen from the photos. It does not take much to clean toilets. I agree with others on overall lack of table cleanliness and restaurant too.
Which then brings into question the cleanliness of the kitchen. I would not trust a place that cannot be bothered to clean their toilets (which is an extremely easy job) and something that should not be overlooked. As I imagine the staff use that toilet. Which even if they wear gloves, still exposes them to harmful bacteria and other surface level pathogens. Utterly disgraceful. I will be contacting Taco Bell UK about this.
Original review:
I don’t like leaving low star reviews but felt I needed to. I’ve eaten here a few times now and the staff are lovely.
But the tables and floor aren’t always clean and the food if I’m being brutally honest doesn’t taste that great.
I’m a real lover of fast food but the consistency isn’t there for me, the salad inside the meals tastes off and it’s just very weird to put your finger on what’s wrong...
Read moreI haven’t had a Taco Bells for many years but when I was living out in the States I loved them, so finding one in Bridgwater got me all nostalgic and eager to get my hands on the food. Unfortunately what I ended up being served was without question the greatest portion of Mexican inspired disappointment ever. The premises are very modern, spacious and clean, very in fact but that is where anything good I can say about this place ends. The staff whilst not rude or unpleasant are probably best described as ‘meh’ and not really motivated or enthusiastic at all, which would explain the really long waiting time for orders to be made up. The food, once you get it though is the greatest disappointment, everything was stone cold, and nothing looked anywhere near what the posters said they should. The tacos were wafer thin and tasteless, the meat, what little there was of it was also tasteless, the whole thing was hideous, I’m Not sure which part of Mexico inspired this place but I hope I’m never unlucky enough to end up there! Overall a terrible experience, and one I advise people to avoid experiencing for themselves. Avoid this place at all costs as eating here could ruin Mexican food for...
