*Disclaimer I'm not British by birth and I come from an extremely customer centric culture, which explains my grievance.

Hubbox has always been hit and miss for us. This was our first time in Falmouth and although the food was good, the service leaves a lot to be desired.

We came in early and got drinks as the kitchen hadn't opened yet. Drinks arrived and the server explained which ones were which... It turns out he told us the cocktail was the non-alcoholic drink that our 15yo had ordered (the cocktail was for myself).

We didn't really figure it out until the drink had been half drunk, which when the manager realised the mistake proceeded to take it away from the table and get another cooler (but nothing about the cocktail).

Anywho, service was slow, plates were cleared, but we were never asked if we either wanted more drinks or dessert (bear in mind our 3yo's kiddie meal came with dessert). Our youngest ended leaving because of how slow everything was and our 15yo thought at that point that we were actively being ignored.

Tired of waiting I had to take my cards out and they finally proceeded to give us the bill. Long story short, there was absolutely no way I'd pay for the alcoholic drink and given the whole situation at least some discount on the kid's meal. So originally they gave me a 10% off that didn't even cover the cocktail. After arguing I did end up paying what I thought was acceptable, but obviously left a bad taste in our mouths.

If service had been to a decent standard obviously none of this would have happened, furthermore, I'm sure would have had another round of drinks and even some...

I was utterly appalled with my experience from Hubbox Falmouth. I leave one star as there is no option for zero.

Being a loyal customer whom spends £300/400 per week with work at Hubbox Truro (which is amazing) I had good expectations for the new Falmouth branch.

After waiting for over an hour for the food to arrive the food was stone cold and to top it of they had forgotten burgers, sides and all milkshakes ordered.

Upon opening the food to my horror they had mislabelled everything... the chicken burgers were labelled as beef and the beef was labelled as chicken as massive health risk within itself however the worst is yet to come, after taking a few bites into my beef burger there was a lot of parts TOTALLY RAW not (medium rare) this was beef that was uncooked fleshy and this absolutely disgusted me to my core to think over people who hadn’t have been inspecting it so closely could’ve eaten this. I have photographs of the raw meat in the burger and the incorrect labels if anyone like my self can’t believe it...

The front of house staff were pleasant on a positive note however I leave this review due to my MAJOR concerns over hygiene and food.

Salmonella, Escherichia coli (E. coli), Shigella, and Staphylococcus aureus are all examples of deadly bacteria found in raw beef in which I could’ve found my self in bed with if I had not checked this food.

This isn’t a spiteful review as I have got my refund and I am done with the matter this is a warning for the general public should you choose to...

Big fan of hub box in Truro and Exeter. The newest member to the family..Falmouth. Let's start off with Location. Lovely. Right next to the marina in events Square. Food. The usual excellent burgers with a varied menu. Drinks. Good range of alcohol and soft drinks with a menu of cocktails.2 for 12 notes isn't bad. Service.Food service was good with quick order taken and arrival. Food choice was limited due to a broken down fridge with desserts severely affected. Brownie wasn't the best and Mr whippy being a substitute for clotted cream wasn't great either expecially when still charging full price. Drinks service. Poor.ordered before food and arrived after food.Ordered another round for it to never appear then after 30 minutes asked for drinks to be cancelled and for bill. 20 minutes had to chase staff for bill so yes basically nearly an hour of just sat there. On the whole a very average experience from falmouth which is a shame compared to its usual good experiences at its other locations. The evening topped off by table next to us sending back chicken burger as horrible.this was taken from the bill but the amusement came from the waitress asking at the end of the meal to them -'was everything alright for you?' to them. More staff required with better attention to detail. Will give another visit soonish to see if any better or might just...

After viewing the menu from outside, we were pleased that the staff could accommodate our group of 8 and allowed us to sit by a window overlooking the harbour. There are 3 veggie burgers but unfortunately the Betsy one was unavailable so the veggies had the Bella and Big Cheese ones accompanied by zero clucker dirty fries. My daughter had the Mac & Cheese from the kids menu. All was absolutely delicious. Our meat eating friends opted for various combinations of the meaty burgers and one declared that it was the best burger he had ever tasted (this is a high compliment indeed as he is well travelled and had lots of burgers in the US!) My only gripe is I had to find staff to remind them we were waiting for the bill and this led us to being charged another hour on our parking nearby. Good kids menu and good option if you have a mix of carnavores and veggies in your group. No parking onsite.

Best. Fries. Ever. 'nuff said. Just to add, the whole meal was excellent, raising the humble burger & chips to another level. In fact, another couple of levels. I went for the Big Kahuna burger which was excellent, sloppy, substantial and flavoursome in equal measures, but I can honestly say for the first time in my life, it was overshadowed by the fries - in this case the 'mother clucker' fries. Oodles of chicken, chilli, coriander and a superb Korean BBQ sauce. Excellent! Highly recommended. P.s. a minor point, but to agree with an earlier reviewer, the paper placed beneath the fries and burger does inevitably become really soggy given the quantity of sauces on the fries which means it gets caught up in the food. Is it really necessary to have it there?

Good range of different burgers on offer (beef, chicken, veggie and beyond meat) along with quite a wide variety of different options for fries. Got the Big Kahuna with Mother Clucker Fries. Good flavour overall but if there was one improvement I would say fries could have been crispier. Granted there are quite a lot of sauces on the Mother Clucker Fries and especially when Made Dirty, however even on the bits that were dry, the fries lacked a crispy exterior and were luke warm rather than hot. Strangely their sweet potato fries which I also tried were very crispy and fresh from the fryer. Perhaps mine just waited too long on the pass.
