Absolutely no faults with this place.
I went here with my girlfriend for an evening out two days ago since we are on holiday. It was completely full at 8:15pm when we arrived, and stayed that way even over an hour later when we left. That’s how you know the food’s gonna be good.
The staff are friendly and professional, and did a great job providing an excellent service even though they were understaffed on the day we ate.
We had the seafood platter for two with the dressed crab (the normal whole crab was sold out, I imagine because it’s delicious). Everything on the plate was amazingly tasty, beautifully cooked and had a perfect texture. The crevettes (prawns) especially blew my mind - the shells came off so easily and they were absolutely stunning in flavour and texture.
The price was higher than average I’d say, but incredibly reasonable for a meal out.
I hope I can eat here again one day. Highly...

After trying to eat here on our first wander around Falmouth and to find it fully booked, we went online and found a table at lunch time a few days later. Result!
Super glad we went as the food was stunning. My friends had the crab sandwich and I had the dressed Cornish crab - freshly caught that morning. I had no idea dressed crab could taste that good. It was perfect!
Being a little hungover we asked if they served Bloody Mary's and thankfully Max our waiter had a winning recipe at hand. It was definitely one of the best, perfectly spiced Bloody Mary's I've ever had - and I've had a lot. So that was a brilliant cherry at the top of an already excellent cake for our experience at The Shack.

Read moreAwful service, don't bother! We arrived and saw most tables were free, so grabbed a seat outside only to be told they are fully booked and they won't be able to feed us for half an hour. We didn't expect anything quicker as that's pretty standard to us and we were happy to have a drink and wait as long as needed, were on holiday and in no rush. The waitress was clearly angry and wouldn't bring us a menu, she then dropped a load of menus on the floor so my partner kindly helped her pick them up but instead of thanking us, she shouted "its against covid stuff!!" We were so disappointed as we specifically came here after being recommended by some friends and had such a frosty unwelcome experience, we chose not to book as when we came past earlier it looked almost empty, however this was the restaurant fully booked supposedly....
