The Ranch — Restaurant in England

This was my first visit to this restaurant. The high rating on trip advisor promised much. Firstly on a positive note the floor staff were attentive and hard working during a busy service. The steak cooked as requested and of good quality. Sadly side dishes push towards a chain restaurant aproach. Cheaply bought, mass produced frozen products, small amounts with high mark up. Onion rings poor quality, cooked rapidly at high temperature, affecting flavour massively (Watched them go from freezer, to frier, to my plate). Small in size, seven in total at inflated price. If you are thinking large beer battered onion rings prepare for disappointment. Good sirloin and tasty slow cooked ribs. But unfortunately it is like creating a fine painting and placing it inside a cheap plastic frame. You may enjoy the picture but you will remember the cheap frame....Seems to have been overated somewhat. Oh and I can never understand when asking for mayonnaise, or similar, you have to squeeze it from a container two feet from me into half an egg cup. But I am sure there is a logical...

Omg!!! Wanted to visit here for a while now......firstly the staff... nothing is too much trouble. It was my partners birthday, and I asked for a few extras, and it was sorted... the service is of very high standard, friendly, professional, and helpful. The restaurant is reeeeally nice!! It looks and feels like a steak house. The food... if you want the best steak in Cornwall.... you have to come here! Some say it's top pricey, but the cost is reflected in the quality of this place. Really tasty, good-sized steaks, chips. It's honestly one of the best steaks I've ever had!!! Lots of nearby parking, only a mins walk. Ashamed to be putting this after reading all the reviews wanting to try new place as I always come Falmouth for food walking in was really nice loved the design But for us the food was really disappointing I had THE BEEF ROOSTER BURGER which I was excited to have until I had it after eating some of the burger I had to take it apart as I wasn’t enjoying it to find it was the beef had no flavour and the chicken was burnt and tasted like a Spicy Mac crispy from McDonald it’s a shame especially paying £23.50 you think it be better then that for me it’s over priced and overrated
