Went there a bit early for our reservation, only to be told that they were a chef short, which was nobody's fault, however when we returned for our booking time all of the specials were sold out. We eventually sit at a table of our choice and when it comes to ordering, there is a sticker on the table that specifically tells us to order at the bar, which we go to do, only to be told (rather rudely, by whom we can only assume was a manager) "to sit down and the girl in green" will take our order. By no fault of her own, as she was left to manage the outside area on her own, it took her a good 15 minutes to get over to us. The drinks were amazing! Cannot fault them at all. The starters were lovely and were relatively quick to arrive at our table. However, things took a turn for the worst when the mains arrived. Between starter and mains nearly an hour had passed, many other people had arrived, ordered and eaten in this time. We had ordered 2 chicken burgers and a beef brisket. The chicken burgers were edible and mediocre. They were very greasy, the cheese sauce was meh, it had obviously been sat there a while, and the chips were on the borders of cooked and raw. The beef brisket was a massive let down. Having had it many times before, all across the world, this was by far the driest, leatheriest, chewiest brisket I have ever seen. It was awful and was more burnt than "cooked". We signalled to the waitress and she was more than helpful, she immediately removed it, to which the same, blunt manager came over to us. We ordered another chicken burger in replacement, which turned up in less than a minute, along with a remark from the manager that we had "taken another tables order". Not impressed at all. He then kept hovvering about making sure that we were eating, rather strange seeing as he had not been outside since we told him the brisket was awful. We were going to order a dessert, but by the time the mains had arrived and we had eaten, the kitchen had closed. Overall, I would never eat here again, save your time and go to pizza express or a different restaurant in the same little area. Same atmosphere, better food.

Update: I was back in Falmouth for some more work, and visited The Shed again for a late lunch. Cornish Sausages and Battered Squid for our starters, followed by Beef Brisket and Catch of the Day (Sole) for main courses. For desserts we had New York Cheesecake and an Affogato. As with my previous visits, all excellent dishes. Original review: My second visit to The Shed in two days. Superb service from friendly staff, delivering excellent food. There's dining inside, and some outdoor seating, protected from any breeze by some glass panelling: it was late March but sunny so I ate outside on both occasions. I had a burger on my first visit (superb!) and then the beef brisket sandwich on the second. It comes as two large (but not too thick) slices of sourdough around juicy brisket and some pickles, with sauce and cheese oozing from the sides, accompanied by some tortilla chips and coleslaw. Absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Not particularly great value for money spent. It’s a small place, rather cramped space and a “just there” kind of atmosphere and the food was ok, average at best and really enjoyed the prawns in the seafood sharing platter also loved the Mojito Mocktail but that was about it. The rest of the guys in my group did not particularly enjoy their meal. We’d advised there was a nuts allergy but was he still served salad with sesame seeds. It was however replaced with more salad. The service was really good, smiles all around and really helpful (one of the guys was rather dramatic with a patron outside and didn’t know how to control his emotion on how upset he was), the others were really pleasant and that was a plus.

So let's begin with the starter a Thai beef salid now that's just a straight up incorrect description there was nothing thia about it they wore missed the three main salid ingredients being mint coriander and garlic, the sauce which came on it was non existent and the incorrect sauce. A thia beef salid contain mint coriander red onion and the sauce should be made up of fish sauce chilli garlic lime and oil. So for them to call it a this beef salid is a scam. IL admit the beef was lovely came out at a perfect rare cook. Now onto mains I had the crab now I saw the price and thought hmm this gonna be good 25 quid is about average for a good crab, then it came out and I instantly know it wasn't gonna be good the amount of crab I received was insane and well that's because it was the cheapest crab , it came with a salid and the leafs wore close to being more like mush, altho the garlic sauce and bread was fanominal. My partner has the American double cheese burger with bacon. I'm not gonna be funny you may aswell go burger king as bk taste better, the burger came out very oily and stogey the brioche bun was extremely dence aswell. Tbh the only good part we actually enjoyed was the drinks I had the pornstar martini which was good and my partner had the chia latte which was actually really good. For 73 quid I believe this is one of the most over priced meals iv ever had and tbh I wish I just went bk as I would have been far less disappointed. For this restraunt to get to the level there charging I suggest, 1 correctly lable your dishes, 2 buy good crab and give less of it, 3 make your burger less oily and get better brouche buns. I definitely will not be going back to give even a...

Visited Falmouth for the first time yesterday and found The Shed whilst walking around the harbour and Marine Centre. It is inviting, clean and trendy, but not so much that we felt uncomfortable and there were older couples also eating there. The reception from the barman was friendly, service to the table was exactly right. There were not many people there but it was late afternoon. The food, well, what can we say?! The choice on the menu was good, including seafood, meat, vegan, veggie, burgers and speciality dishes. We selected nachos with chilli, checking with the server how big the dish was first. He warned us it was big! We had foccacia bread and oils to start which was divine for something so simple. Then the nachos came - presented beautifully, styled around a large pot of soured cream and decorated with guacamole, salsa, cheese and spring onions. The chilli came in a separate dish and was mild and tomatoey, a lovely accompaniment to the nachos. The nachos themselves were homemade, light and crispy which was a lovely surprise. It was such a generous portion, neither of us could finish! The prices are reasonable too. Absolutely lovely,...
