As one navigates through the bustling heart of Leicester, an oasis of Indian culinary tradition awaits at Hyderabadi Wala. Nestled amidst a competitive biryani landscape, this restaurant has carved a niche, with its rivalry with Biryani Wala being the talk of the town, a testament to its authentic Hyderabadi offerings . The decor is a visual enthrallment, with a blend of modern and traditional aesthetics reminiscent of the grand Mughal era, which is elevated by the unique tableware. The courteous staff, embodying the epitome of Indian hospitality, further enriches the dining experience. The gastronomic adventure begins with the Chicken Peri Peri Wings, a tantalizing prelude to the authentic flavors awaiting. The Prawns Biryani and Bagara Rice, accompanied by Paneer Tikka Masala, are a tribute to the rich culinary heritage of Hyderabad. Every dish, meticulously crafted, is a melody of flavors that dance gracefully on the palate. A notable highlight is the Special Platter offered, encompassing a variety of meats like Chicken 65, Grilled Chicken, Lamb Chops, and more, a testament to the restaurant’s versatility in offering both traditional and contemporary Indian delicacies . However, not all tales are without a cloud. A review on Trustpilot voiced discontent with the pricing of the Jumbo size chicken biryani, which might suggest a scrutiny of value offered . Yet, with a competitive spirit, Hyderabadi Wala is not just a restaurant; it’s a voyage back to the imperial culinary era of India, with each dish narrating a tale of tradition, flavor, and authenticity. Amidst the biryani rivalry in Leicester, Hyderabadi Wala stands as a regal contender, promising a rich and hearty meal that is both a feast for the eyes and the palate. In summary, Hyderabadi Wala in Leicester is more than just a meal out; it’s an experience that pays homage to India’s rich culinary history while providing a cozy ambiance, friendly service, and a menu that tantalizes the taste buds.

Newly opened and very inviting place. I thought food could be unique and tasteful. More over some natural ingredients. I have ordered Chicke dum buriyani, lamb dum biriyani, and chicken fried rice. I am very much disappointed with the flavour in one way, in another way; I'm surprised to taste some unique flavours. I really want to give five stars, but some elements in these foods need to be improved. To start with, taste too much clove flavour over taken the rest of the flavours. If I am not wrong, they have using quiet alot of MSG. taste MSG completely ruined the aftertaste. Portion for the price (without the discount at the time) is too low. There might be an alternative for a similar price. Packed with people at the time we went as 50%offers going around. Not that much spacious to sit and eat, could be accommodating only a table of a few people, as store itself small. Staff could be more friendly and welcoming.

I recently had my lunch here at Hyderbad Wala and decided to try their Hyderabadi fish and keema biryanis, based on the recommendations I had come across. While the overall experience was decent, I didn't find anything particularly special or overwhelming about the biryanis that would justify giving it a five-star rating. As the restaurant some what maintaining the Overall Rating close to 5 stars. perhaps other dishes on their menu could have provided a more exceptional experience. Starting with the positives, the fish and keema biryanis were prepared reasonably well. The flavors were adequate, and the spices used were balanced. The fish was cooked to perfection However, despite these positive aspects, I couldn't help but feel that something was missing from the biryanis. I found the taste to be some what underwhelming.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at Biryani Wala, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary! We ordered the SP Chicken Biryani and the Lamb Biryani, and oh my goodness – every bite was a journey back to Hyderabad!

The SP Chicken Biryani was perfectly spiced, with tender, flavorful chicken pieces that just melted in your mouth. The aroma hit you before the first bite, and the balance of spices was absolutely spot-on. The Lamb Biryani? Wow. The lamb was cooked to perfection, soft and succulent, and paired so beautifully with the fragrant, long-grain basmati rice. Each spoonful was a burst of flavor, a perfect symphony of spices, herbs, and that authentic Hyderabadi touch.

The service elevated the experience even further. A big shoutout to Swaroop, who went above and beyond to make our meal memorable. His attention to detail, prompt service, and warm demeanor were top-notch. It’s rare to come across staff who truly care about their customers, and Swaroop was a shining example of hospitality done right.

The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and you could tell this place is serious about their biryani game. Honestly, it reminded me of sitting in a bustling Hyderabadi eatery, surrounded by the tantalizing aroma of freshly cooked biryani.

If you’re a biryani lover like me, Biryani Wala is a must-visit. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience – one that takes you straight to the heart of Hyderabad with every bite. 10/10 would recommend! Can’t wait to come back and explore more...

I and with 4 members of my family went to leicester from Coventry to browse and have something to eat on a lovely saturday evening of the 9th March 2024. We drove past this restaurant and decided to go there as we have heard hydrabad biryani is amongst the best. Amongst our orders were 2 regular lamb biryani, one lamb dum jumbo biryani and hydrabad lamb bhuna ghosh and 3 garlic naan.. The taste of the food were very dissapointing and well below our expectation. The jumbo biryani and the bhuna gosh we decided to take home for other family member. The two normal size biryani had very little meat but we did not complaint . At home it was horrifying to discover that the jumbo biryani which cost £26.99 had only two pieces of meat and 4 pieces of bones. And the hydrabad bhuna gosh for £12.99, again had two pieces of meat and 6 pieces of bones. Also we were charged for 3 garlic naan and we only received 2. Our total bill was £97.40. For anybody reading this , it is entirely your choice to give it a try but be prepared to be dissapointed and robbed. Our regret is we left a great family restauramt called PAMIR in Coventry CV6, where the taste of the food meet our expectation and the portion are served over generous and if you ask for meat dish , you get more meat than you can handle. All with less price. We are sending this comparison to express our utter dissapointment. No facility to upload the receipts...
