Authentic flavours
We have visited the national space centre and since we were just a mile away from Belgrave Road popular for Indian food and shopping, we decided to include that towards the later part of afternoon. Did some search and found Belgrave Commercial Centre Car Park is convenient place given the cost and time we needed to park the car. Car part charges were £1 an hour.
Read reviews of a number of places that serve chaats and selected 4 Seasons Chaat House. Small and a clean place. May struggle with prams though but since the place wasn’t too busy, we managed to keep it inside. Menu is simple and staff will help with any details. Golgappa was authentic. Mixed special chat was good but not to my liking, should have gone for individual chats as the flavours will remain unique. Many of my friends recommended Spicy chips in Leciester and indeed it is a good recommendation. Staff asked how spicy I wanted and I said hot. Should have been a bit careful with that as we should think what else we are ordering. We ordered veg Manchurian as well. Both put together it wasn’t well on my tummy, had a severe tummy upset and heartburn. Next time I will be careful in not ordering too many items. Flavours were authentic and portion sizes were huge and hence we had to take away leftovers.
Recommend this place for flavours, cleanliness and staff. Just watch for spice if you have know your tummy...
Read moreThe food was good but almost everything were cooked in same sauce or gravy.
Chilli Paneer - was good in taste, freshly made.
Chilli Mogo- everything same as Chilli Paneer but product is Mogo.
Veg fried rice was little late on our table but I guess it was made freshly hence it was late. All the other food were on the table fairly quick on the table.
Daal and rice were the fastest dishes on the table after order.
Veg Sizzler was last arrived on the table but again it was same as chilli paneer and Mogo but just all mix veg in it. I expected veg sizzler to arrive on the table sizzling but it didn’t. Taste wise it was same as chilli paneer and Mogo.
Crispy bhajiya were worthy and good in appearance with special sauce and chutney it was good.
Their salty Lassi were like butter milk, more watery than Lassi… Lassi is made of yogurt more and almost minimum to no water added to it, but it was all water at this place.
Lastly, the tissues/napkins on the table were given 5 between 9 of us. We had to ask for more and only 4 were given to accommodate exactly. I didn’t knew tissues were expensive stuff until I visited this place.
Overall, all the dishes were smaller in size/portions for what you pay. The food was little tasty and better compared to many other shops in Leicester. The store was clean, staff were fair...

The food is simply outstanding! The Dahi Puri is a burst of flavors that leaves you craving for more. The Pav Bhaji is a delightful combination of spiciness and buttery goodness. And don't get me started on the Paneer Dosa – it's a cheesy, crispy, heavenly treat. And the Veg Thali? It's a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds.
What's even more impressive is that all of this comes at an incredibly affordable price. You get gourmet-quality South Indian cuisine without breaking the bank.
