You know when you've fallen in love; that feeling of sheer joy that draws a big smile across your face... I had that at The Bay. This is a wonderfully female-led business in a cosy space - wood paneling lines the walls and floors like a log cabin with flourishes of subtle colour from the lighting, wall décor and food displayed in glass cabinets. Stepping into the rustic setting, you're immediately greeted by a staff member who'll gladly assign you to a table - reservations are possible but wasn't necessary on the wintery afternoon I was there. Staff are friendly and show a keen interest to meet your dietary needs and avoid allergies. There were many options in the way of food, but because it just so happened to be a Sunday, I had to have the Sunday roast experience. And I can tell you it's the best I've had by miles - not only is everything vegan but the very generous proportions are likely to have you downgrade from a 3-course to a 2-course meal - and such a shame because I would've been so pleased to test out the dessert! The soup of the day was tomato, wonderfully blended with the right amount of thickness, accompanied by a couple of bread options. The roast itself has a few options of its own including the roulade and tart - both were very well received with crispy pastry surrounding the tasty filling. Lots of roasted vegetables are included and with variety too. But my favourite bit: the gravy was astounding. I think gravies can make or break a roast but they've absolutely cracked it with the consistency and savoury/umami flavours! I made a special order for a Lotus Biscoff shake which they fulfilled but I think it could've been thicker - maybe go for another option if you're getting a drink. Overall, a fantastic food experience and the best on the isle in my humble opinion, all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic place to eat the most delicious vegan food. Very kind and knowledgeable staff who make sure you have a tasty meal. Both the drink and food menu are really varied and well thought out. There are regular specials and tapas ideas to pick from. Portion sizes are good and the meals are skillfully cooked and prepared. We have been a few times recently and will definitely be making it one of our regular places to visit. The decor is well designed and feels cosy and welcoming. There is a fair sized inside area with tables and chairs and a covered area outside with benches. Thank you again for a wonderful meal and experience! Well done to all your lovely staff! Give The Bay a visit you will not be disappointed!

I had a double burger with dirty fries which was fantastic. I'm not a vegan but heard good things. Wanted to try it out while visiting family and the burger was easily one of the best I've ever had and the fries were delicious. My partner had a light breakfast with avocado on a croissant which she really liked too. Unfortunately she was feeling ill before hand so we did have to rush out. This in NO WAY was a reflection on the food though and I felt a bit guilty I couldn't complement before I left the venue. So thought I'd leave a review. 100% will be back when I visit again.

As other reviewers have remarked, the excellent customer service begins as soon as you walk in. We we felt relaxed and welcome right away. There is a good selection of food and drink, all of which is exceptional value for money. I had a Filthy Hippy Chai Laté, which was made on request with coconut milk. It was delicious. What was even more delicious, however, was the giant croissant (which I suspect American friends might refer to as a prezel, despite its shape). The baked product itself was absolutely delightful, with light and fluffy dough on the inside, and a wonderfully crispy crunch outside, topped with delicious sesame seeds. This can served in a variety of ways, and I chose to have it filled with salad and houmous, topped with homemade coleslaw. The houmous was delicious and spread nicely all over the lower half. The salad and coleslaw were votb beautifully made and packed full of flavour, all of which was delivered by the fresh ingredients. A drizzle of balsamic topped this off perfectly, and unlike to many places, the veg was crisp and clean, not soggy or overly dressed with oil.

I had ordered this wonderful dish expecting just a snack, but I was surprised to find that the bowl provided a perfect meal in and of itself. Best of all, this lovely surprise only set me back £6.50 (prices may have changed by the time you're reading this, please check before ordering), which I honestly consider brilliant value.

The combination of great food, friendly staff, and a lovely relaxed ambiance make for a 5 star rating. I would give this fantastic place an extra...

The first time we visited 2 years ago, we were looked after impeccably by Mel and her team, since then we have taken many friends and family here to enjoy the wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. We loved it so much we asked Mel and her team to cater for our wedding with 80 people attending for lunch and dinner. We had arranged our wedding at short notice so that my lovely mum Maria could attend, she had become seriously ill with Cancer and sadly did not have long. Mel was so supportive and her team pulled out all the stops and did an impeccable job, the attention to detail, the fresh food, and the timing was perfect, not only that but Mel remained calm, composed and professional, always smiling and good humoured they made our day amazing. Mel puts her heart and soul into her business and loves what she does and it shows. The Bay is our Happy place. Thank you Mel and...
