We were in Bridlington for the day and wanted some fish and chips to get see us through to dinner. I wanted to just get some chips from one of many places along the seafront wife had other ideas. We popped in here we ordered 5 portions of chips and one piece of fish this cost 16 pound. The food wasn't too bad but the fish was very very greasey and thin the portions of chips were barely a handfull very mean portion sizes. In each portion you could have filled a wrap with them smaller than a 5 year old portion. Happy to take the money and then rip you off on your portion. Wife returned back there and challenged them they gave her a further real portion of chips with the excuse of didn't think you were that hungry and you asked for small chips. There was only one price so should be one size...

Where do I start with these people?
Their service is top notch, from dining with family, to dining alone, or even taking out, Jack's is worth a good walk any day of the week.
I've seen people complaining about the portions or supposedly getting charged for a fork, given my years of time eating at Jack's, I'd have to chalk these complaints up to Ludicrously High standards, Pure dumb bad luck, or just simply put: Slander.
If you're visiting Bridlington and want the best experience possible when getting a chippy? Jack's offers so much variety, that it's practically; "The Jack's of all Trades"

Not only was the food incredible (probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had) but the service was impeccable. They were so friendly and accommodating (we have two small kids and had to rearrange the restaurant).
We spoke to a few other people in there; all regulars who had been coming a long time. One of them told us that the owner, Jack, had been frying fish for 42 years (since he was 13 years old) and it shows.
