Our 1st visit to Jan's Kitchen for a spot of lunch was 100% perfect. As far as Cafe food goes you can't do much better! We were greeted by warm smiles, friendly service and a very clean environment! We didn't have to wait long for a 'good quality' pot of tea followed shortly after by a delicious Lemon Crayfish Jacket Potato, super-fresh salad, authentic tasting mayonnaise and crunchy coleslaw! Then it closed down and stood empty for a while. Thankfully the new proprietors moved in but not before a much needed makeover. The decor isn't the only thing what had much needed improvement though. The menu is full of tasty delights, coffee is great and service is friendly and first class. I've heard a few people complain that it's a bit pricey and it's true there are cheaper cafe's but you get what you pay for and the quality is well worth the...
