This was not the first time we tried this shop but we had a very bad experience today. I visited this shop with 3 of my friends. The staff person ignored us the first 10-15 minutes when we were standing next to the till. At one point we told him that we would like to try some ice creams. However he kept talking to another customer for a long time, giving them handshakes, talking in a regional language. We really felt bad that the person was ignoring us because he had a customer who talks his language. Finally after he served them the order we again stood there for a while and he approached us. We asked that we wanted to buy ice cream and he gave us a few options to try. After giving 3 of them, he said he could not give any more. We chose 3 flavours and paid at the till. He forced us to use the spoons that he gave us to taste the samples at first. We felt terrible at how inappropriate and unprofessional a customer care person can be, that too in such a place. Later after payment I was waiting for a receipt when the same guy got involved talking to another staff. I asked for a receipt and he asked “oh you want a receipt?” I also asked him if I they have any offers on birthdays. He was not very sure but another staff approached and clarified. He made a crude joke that they would also sing the happy birthday song without making eye contact. I was waiting for the receipt and when I felt he was taking too long, I told him that it was okay and I would not need a receipt if he already skipped it on the screen. Then he said “print kar liya le” it was quite inappropriate to convey to a customer and he was rude. I will never visit this place which cannot hire a professional person who should face the clients and represent...
Read moreVisited on Sunday for dessert as a treat for my daughters birthday. Cafe was very quiet, only one or two other tables were occupied. Environment was totally souless, waiting room vibes.
We were directed to our table by a downbeat silent staff member, such an underwhelming greeting, almost made us feel unwelcome.
Waited for someone to take our order, nothing, waited a bit more, still nothing, then realised you have to order at the counter. Silent waitress hadn't bothered to explain when she seated us.
We considered walking out at this point, but, my daughters were looking forward to dessert.
Presentation, poor. My daughters plate was sloppily shoved, almost slammed on the table, by the silent staff member.
My youngest only wanted a waffle with syrup and sprinkles but apparently you MUST have the ice cream, so it was agreed this would be served on the side, when the dessert was bought out (with the ice cream in a tiny metal ramekin melting down the side) it emerged that they had put the ice cream on the waffle anyway then scooped it back off when they remembered her request, leaving remnants of ice cream on one of the waffles, which they tried to disguise by putting another waffle on top. Good thing shes not dairy intolerant!
Crepe was lukewarm and chewy, topping was sloppy and nothing like the image online.
Totally disappointing given the prices charged and the toilets are absolutely disgraceful for a food establishment. Would not...
Read moreCame here today for a couple of quick take-away milkshakes. They do taste good and are reasonably priced. However, the customer service at this place is terrible! We ended up waiting forty minutes for take-away milkshakes, which is simply unacceptable.
I don't blame the staff at all, it is the managers fault for letting it get this way. They all appeared flustered and as though they did not know what was going on. They should have two people allocated to each section at all times (e.g. two on waffles, two on crêpes etc). They should also have a dedicated 'take-away' order and collect desk. If people are ordering take-away food, then surely it can be understood that they are in a rush.
It also appeared that people that were eating in were prioritised over those taking out which is again, unacceptable. A few times I noticed people arriving after us being served before us.
I have been to this Kaspas a fair few times before, and sadly, this occasion is not a rarity. I have always waited at least twenty minutes just for a takeaway milkshake.
Also, when my milkshake finally came (had to ask a member of staff as it appeared they had forgotten about our order) they were two regular milkshakes when I had ordered two large.
Again, I do not blame the staff, it is the fault of the manager and the entire system needs to be overhauled to prevent such long waiting times. The food is nice, but certainly not...
