Worst KFC I've ever been too. Lack of staff and lack of cooking in the kitchen area. I ordered my food at 15:55, only to recieve it at 16:35, as chicken was cooking. Whilst they continued to serve takeaway orders, delivery (deliveroo, uber eat) orders and other eat in customers - just because I ordered a party bucket which has 14 chickens in. They prepared the rest of the bucket 10 minutes after my order had been placed, so I asked them to make it fresh. They had no coleslaw, Gravy, Ketchup or Mayonnaise out the front, they had to keep running back and fourth like headless chickens (pardon the pun). I was well in my right to ask for some money back, as I was not notified of the delayed cooking time when I placed my order. However, the manager offered me more chicken which I did not want as the party bucket is enough to feed my family. To my horror, one of the delivery drivers started to argue with me, swearing at me, offering to punch me. At this point I had left without my drink, because they completely forgot about it and so did I. I will certainly not be returning to this KFC ever again and will be putting in a formal complaint. Finally, I came home to a bucket and paper bag seeping of oil, fresh from the cooked chicken and one fillet chicken amongst my 14 original chicken recipe...
Read moreWent to KFC Newbury today with my husband and 2 of our friends one of whom is in a wheelchair. I asked a young girl about a table we could have as they has closed some tables off because of COVID-19. She asked if a certain table would be OK i said yes but she has to clean the table and take away the rubbish as all the vacant tables had rubbish on. My husband placed the order and when it arrived he took it to the table but was asked to pay he said he had but was told it hadn't gone through as it was declined he asked for a receipt to probe this and was told there wasn't which is strange as in all the years where for some unknown reason the card hasn't been accepted there would he a receipt to say it was declined. He.tried again but the same result again I asked for a receipt so i used the pin which worked but felt embarrassed as he was told it hadn't gone through even though there were funds. The chips were very poor and the chicken was warm and not as hot as you may expect it to be. The overall state of the restraint was poor the cleanliness left a lot to be desired and it seemed the staff behind the counter found themselves amused at something and not appearing to be professional. Read moreBe aware of the parking limit as it is only 1 hour and the service can be incredibly slow and they often make mistakes. We met here as a family with small children to get dinner so unfortunately had 2 cars. Service was slow which is not unusual here as the restaurant is busy and understaffed.
At the time of our visit on a Tuesday evening it was not particularly busy but it was still slow and the restaurant area was very messy/dirty. Due to the time to get the food and also the time it takes small children to eat we went over the parking time by 12 minutes meaning 2 parking tickets.
We were told by staff that it could be reversed and they took our details. However, we were later phoned back to say that they could reverse it if they wanted but wouldn't.
Yes, this is our fault for not realising the parking time was so short but most establishments will reverse parking fines for genuine customers. Lesson here is go to McDonalds, the service is not always quick as it is busy but at least the parking is 3 hours so you...
