KOKORO Brighton (Western Rd) — Restaurant in England

Kokoro on Western road has been a favourite since it opened but in recent weeks we've been twice and had terrible experiences. We walked out after waiting in the queue for half an hour; the food was running out faster than they could cook it and the deliveroo drivers were taking precedence. Even though no katsu chicken was ready, our rice and katsu sauces were dished up getting cold? We also saw chicken thighs being cooked in a skillet that was piled so high with raw meat that it couldn't be stirred without chicken pieces being flung out; there's no way the half raw/half cooked meat was reaching safe temperatures. I was genuinely horrified.

We went back a week later, putting the first experience down as a glitch in the matrix.

Again, they had run out of my favourite sweet and spicy chicken so we ordered katsu again. The staff were numerous but chaotic and although we were served quickly, we were kept waiting by the staff at the till who just sort of ignored us while they served the deliveroo drivers again.... We ate upstairs but wish we hadn't as it was so dirty and covered in food and rubbish; smeared tables, not a single seat clean and I'm not exaggerating!

Gutted.... Please sort it out.... You genuinely used to be...

Terrible customer service so rude we ordered through just eat we never got the food we waited over an hour and half so we contacted them to let them no it wasn't delivered when the just eat app said it was so we contacted the restaurant and spoke to someone just said ok and put the telephone down on us with explaining or apology thats terrible customer service we contacted just eat they said the driver spilt the food without notification to us so there just as bad I just hope we get are £51 refund back o will never order from kokoro western road Brighton ever again and just eat its not the first time we have been let down by restaurants or takeaway places but times are hard and it's just nice to have a treat now and then but it makes me so angry that some companies treat the public like this and I for one will let you the public no just how awful this...

My reviews on this restaurant is really mixed, Don’t get me wrong the food is amazing i could eat have the same thing from here lunch through dinner, But the staff? Is disgusting,constant attitude,snarky replies. I normally get my usual the sweet chilli chicken with a side of rice or noodles which is actually divine by the way! i went with one of my little cousins and my little brother, since schools out i’m still trying to teach them about money so i gave them each £20 and let them spend it accordingly. My little cousin who was getting served was ordering, my brother that quite literally doesn’t know any better because he’s still quite young says i haven’t ordered yet the women goes wait a minute!! can’t you see i’m serving someone else and scoffs her attitude really made my appetite go and really blew off my whole day.
