I usually go to Starbucks, but thought I would try Costa for a change. I popped in to pick up an order I had placed online for me and my partner as a treat, as we had been working in a freezing cold warehouse all morning and would be something nice to help warm us up. I ordered two gingerbread lattes. When I arrived at store the two girls behind the counter looked incredibly miserable and as if they did not even want to be there. I got my coffees home or what I expected to be coffees to find out one of the girls had forgotten to put coffee in my latte…which I then had to add myself. Read moreI visited the costa coffee in Next Rushden lakes and was appalled at both the dirty state of uncleared/unwiped tables and the poor standard of hygiene displayed by staff. Despite it not being busy at the time I visited, the two girls serving behind the counter were both chatting and touching each other’s hair and then proceeded to take the wrapper off and handled a sandwich to toast it for a customer without washing her hands. I ordered green tea the teabag was put in a pot with far too much water so there was no flavour left and the cup they gave me was so thick. I went and asked for a glass mug which they were happy to give me but I needed a napkin to clean it as it was dreadfully smears. Not nice at all.
